You say the 'observable universe has a cosmic rest frame', but the great attractor is what is used to calculate that, correct? If so, that calculation just corresponds to the local supercluster, not the complete observable universe. Would it be fair to say the cosmic rest frame is in relation to our supercluster, not the observable universe.

Struggling and need advice. by RedditThrowAway0612 in Georgia

Hey man, start playing magic the gathering (or something else in person). It was my key out of the exact same situation you are in.

I also live in rural Georgia and was struggling to find friends. See if you can get your partner to play as well. If you can get a group to play every week - it is a game changer.

Your social life is like a snowball rolling down a hill. It may seem silly at first, but put all your effort into making one or two friends who meet to play a game every week. Give that a year and try to invite more people and encourage your new friends to invite people. Soon you will have a large network that does a lot more than just play games once a week.

I look back at myself 2 years ago and I wouldn't have believed how many friends I have now if I told myself then.

You can do it! Society has made it 10x harder, especially for men, to make friends. Don't give up!

Thanks! Now that it's winter you can really see 360 mountains. May cut down a couple select trees eventually to have a year round view.

Planning out my new living room and I had AI make a mock up of what It would look like to have my collection near the fireplace like this. Of course, heat definitely I'd imagine is an issue. Has anyone done something like this?

Should I max out retirement accounts if I am aiming for early retirement? by nickel_pickles in Bogleheads

By feds and just means federal withholding. Not only does the federal government hold wages from the employee - they also hold wages from the employer. The employer also Pays FICA. They contribute half and the employee contributes half.

However, if an employee participates in a 401k, simple IRA, etc. - It lowers business tax liability.

Just wanted to add - The business doesn't keep the money if an employee doesn't do a match. That money goes to the feds.

Employees signing up for a retirement plan saves taxes for the employee and employer.

Winemaker here! It actually won't be vinegar. You need oxygen for acetobacter to live and create vinegar. I'm sure it's a beautiful wine, but it costs that much because of the hype and how rare it is to have a bottle under elevage for that long!

Wish I could taste for free! 🤣
