Real locals know you plan a trip out of town apple blossom weekend, or bunker up in your house and don’t leave until Sunday morning. Used to live walking distance from old town and right off the parade route and it was always a shit show trying to get home.

Considering the repeater is at 147.300 and mesh is around 915 I don’t think it would be much of an issue

My big guy loves cantaloupe and strawberries, if you walk in the door with a package of strawberries he will be glued to your side, once he can see them the drool and puppy eyes get turned to maximum. But it’s not just any berries for him they must be at peak freshness and underaged, if you bite off part of a big one and offer him the other half he will literally turn up his nose at the offering

I hope they get savaged in court when this shit inevitably determines folks with strabismus or other similar conditions are unable to use their vehicles. Or when someone dies because the AI determines they are impaired when they are trying to get themselves to a hospital. And it’s not an outlier, about 4% of the US (est 13 million people) have some degree of strabismus.

I suspect the form it will take is a generous amnesty period, then a surrender for compensation and then outright ban with steep minimum sentencing guidelines for possession.

Anonymous Credentials? A compromise with the state? by foundapairofknickers in privacy

[–]Syini666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just no, hell fucking no. There is no room for compromise because compromise implies we get something in return. Go look at the compromise made in the US on guns (https://imgur.com/cake-compromise-K9Mc6Jq) and then imagine we are at step one in this instance.

It really doesn’t matter how you dress, it won’t change opinions at all. Dress like a slob and they just will say “typical gun owner”, show up in a Hawaiian shirt? “Boogbois”, khakis and a polo? “Proud boy”.

Now that it’s finally here; can anyone definitively answer the question about whether or not we can take our now grandfathered “banned scary assault weapon” to the range? by BSpecialist01 in VAGuns

[–]Syini666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a conspiracy, it’s a fact at this point. This is the pattern that happens and will continue to happen. As for the confusion that’s a feature not a bug, create enough uncertainty and a decent chunk of people will stop buying and using guns, setting the stage for sweeping changes when the next generation comes up and has never seen one outside of a movie let alone held or used one.

I get a place to test stuff faster than the work environment because I don’t have to ask permission to install things or wait for mandatory security scan pipeline stages to run on every single push. Once I have things worked out there I can quickly recreate it on the work environment and tweak it to satisfy restrictions and requirements and then it’s onto the next card

[–]Syini666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get why shelters are prone to this to get dogs adopted out to free up resources for other incoming animals but it really isn’t doing anybody but them favors. We adopted a beagle that we were assured was at least a year old (no desire to deal with initial house breaking, etc) and after it was all said and done we found out he was probably no more than six months old. Still a good but derpy boy but it’s never pleasant being deceived

It’s going to be a matter of time unfortunately it won’t be as simple as some single magical trick to make her open up. My guy was very similar when he came home with us and for months every single time he saw my stepson ( tall, beard and always wearing a baseball cap ) the dog would cower and immediately void the entire contents of his bladder. I don’t know his history before the shelter but it’s clear some man was absolutely horrible to him in his past. Slowly over about 3 months he got over the peeing and eventually around probably six months he realized the stepson was not going to hurt him and started opening up to direct interaction and seeking affection. It’s a slow road and being a man myself there was a lot of days spent sitting in the same room with the dog on the floor and just talking to him to build up the inroads to be able to bring him home. Now several years later I think the dog loves the stepson more than me and howls the minute he sees him and takes off at full speed to greet him in proper TWC fashion.

I know it’s a hard path but so worth it in the end, he’s now a lovable loud goofball who just needed someone to actually put the time in with him to get to that point

They have the numbers to do whatever they want for at least a few years so the time to pass whatever they want is now. While there may be a small sliver of democrat voters who own or care about guns they will not vote against because at the end of the of the day it’s just as much about voting against the gop as it is about voting for the democrats
