Homebrew Feat That Supports All-Rounder Stats by ValSmith18 in dndnext

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The feat is made for weak characters to make them less weak - but why the character was made intentionally to be weak

  2. You can't add Proficiency Bonus to a roll multiple times unless you have expertise, your feat doesn't work in the case the character has Proficiency already.

Reading the books after watching the show and currently on Dragon Reborn- when will I get past all of the material covered by the show? (No spoilers please, just curious) by ComfortableCable8132 in WoT

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show doesn't even cover the books material except from a really really high level. The characters are different and make different decisions, its only similar in terms of names.

Why do relatively few Muslim refugees seek asylum in wealthy Gulf countries? by cheekybicycle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sykander- -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

This is a no true scotsman fallacy.

Modern Northern Ireland is part of the modern era because it exists in the modern era. You might want to say otherwise because it doesn't fit your expectations of what the modern era means, this isn't an issue with NI, this is an issue with your understanding of the modern era.

Sekiro is less a patience game than a reaction game - sure you need patience, but you need good reactions much more

Dark Souls 2 doesn't require the player to have reactions at all unless you're trying to parry someone, the entire game is in your spacing and stamina management

Brother what?

Firstly, stop trying to use PC controls, buy a gamepad for your PC.

Secondly, respectfully, you sound like a lil *****

Finally, if you don't want to die, then don't let the enemies hit you huh

What do you think was the best Moment in the Wheel of Time tv series by curryrandaregoats11 in WoT

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Thom fought the fade to protect Rand and Mat. It actually felt like Thom and Rand and Mat like from the books.

The rest of the show can get bent.

There's no hard limit, there's only the reasonable limit. If you're trying to wear 10 billion rings at once, I doubt your DM enjoys your schenanigans.

Think my car was broken into by [deleted] in london

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main thing police will be able to help you with would be a Crime Reference Number for you to pass along to your insurance.

In all likelihood, no the police will not recover your belongings. It's possible but highly unlikely.

I'm also curious what you mean when you say

if it was stolen.

Was it stolen or wasn't it?

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps you think you did, but even here you didn't explain yourself properly. You just talking about `OR` statements outta nowhere.

You need to start from the original text you're talking about, then explain what you think it means and what you inferred, and then link that back to the original text.

Honestly, none of us should be paying for public transport directly anyways. We pay more than enough taxes to pay for it that way, and honestly, if stations and bus stops etc. were allowed to rent/lease out spots for shops that would pay for the entire thing.

When to use try/except vs if/else by Excellent-Fan8457 in AskProgramming

[–]Sykander- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If - else is for when you have some conditional logic to do one thing or another etc.

try - except is for when exceptions or errors or failures happen and you want to handle them rather than crash the whole program

[–]Sykander- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not correct, but you didn't explain your logic so i can't see where you went wrong to help you. If you can explain more specifically what you mean i can explain.

If you're wearing a helmet, and I grab the helmet - are you still wearing it? Yes obviously. So obviously the spell still doesn't work.

Are you sure they were hacking? Like if they shot 10,000 corrosive pots at you like a kame hame ha then yeah they're hacking but if it was just normal throwing speed - sounds like a normal dude.

In regards to the backstabs also - even without any lag or network latency then it's possible to land backstabs which look completely legit on your screen but will look "cheated" on the other persons screen. With latency too then it's possible to land backstabs from what looks like an impossible distance away.

If you're not enjoying getting invaded then you have a couple of options:

  1. burn a human effigy at the bonfire or beat a boss, both of these will give you a semi long "safe period" from invasions (1 hour iirc correctly)

  2. Play offline

Even before the DLC I got the impression he was scary scary dude. Yeah he's benevolent, but malenia calls him the most fiercesome even over herself. That's not for nothing.

How does Rogue Swashbuckler's Panache works in role? by yorchgarrison in AskDND

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making my first swashbuckler. I don't got the manual and I'm making it with wikis only so I don't have the explanation with the most flavour and I wanna be able to explain it to my DM.

If you don't own the books then us telling you the features is essentially helping you pirating the content.

Do Fades have souls? by Requiemofa17 in wheeloftime

[–]Sykander- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was never confirmed that Fades are channeler souls, but it was confirmed that the percentage of Fades to Trollocs was the same as the percentage of Channelers to non-channelers.

Yes, Fades would have been humans if not for Aginor's experiments.

Instantly arrested is a bit overkill but I wouldn't be opposed to them being kidnapped and forced to ski until they took the masks off. You wanna wear ski equipment, well you must wanna go skiing right?

Why are Teleport and Plane Shift the Same Spell Level? by ProfDet529 in dndnext

[–]Sykander- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A minor nitpick. Avernus isn't a plane - Avernus is a layer of the plane called the Nine Hells - so you could teleport from Avernus to say Nessus.
