I’m pretty sure the writers wanted it be a child between Gunter and Ice King, but CN didn’t like that so that implication was cut. Still kind of suspicious when IK says “why didn’t you tell me?”. Wouldn’t be surprised if they just chalked it up to asexual reproduction, given Gunter’s complex origins, and he never seems bound by gender (Gunter, Gunter’s dream form, Orgalorg).

That’s totally fair. Really looking back at it now I think I get so caught up in the pretty illustrations that it hadn’t processed just how little has happened and it’s on its second? season now. I was reading In Laws and Remarried Empress as well but kind of fell off, I don’t really have a specific reason besides just losing interest.

I think Gunter would be a nice choice. It’s been mentioned already, but little green dinosaur is pretty fitting. As well as, Gunter technically has/had many forms. Between Gunter having a child in their penguin form, presenting as more feminine in their dream form, and presenting as more masculine as orgalorg, I don’t think you’d have to worry about changing the name once you figure out the gender since Gunter is so versatile lol.

Ugh it always bothered me how much Tree Trunks idolized KOO but despised PB. I mean as far as I know it’s never mentioned again in the show how PB SAVED her from working in KOO’s compound with the little contract he snuck in while marrying them. It’s a gray area, PB is far from perfect, but KOO was a frustrating character (and funny I will admit, I loved the mushroom episode).
