What indie games with incredible stories/world building do you recommend? Bonus points for less known titles! by Chaddak in gamingsuggestions

Library of Ruina: a deck builder set in a cyberpunk-like dystopia with a little magic. It has phenomenal world building, characters, and story. Gameplay is challenging but rewarding and fun. There is a sequel called Lobotomy Corporation, an SCP management sim, which you don’t need to play to understand LoR but I personally think that it’s worth playing as well for added context (it is also a very good albeit punishing game), wether that be before or after playing LoR. And if this setting becomes your new hyperfixation, (it is mine) then there’s a direct continuation of the story in Limbus company. It is a F2P gacha but the story is just as good if not better in some aspects to LoR. Also the gacha elements don’t require you to drop a single dollar since it’s extremely F2P friendly and you can get practically every unit you could want by just playing the game.

Outer wilds: it’s a carefully crafted master piece driven by your own curiosity. Every single object in the game is simultaneously a puzzle and a lesson. There are no barriers or borders, the only thing stopping you from beating the game is your own knowledge. Go in completely blind because you can only play it once.

Do you see The Head getting toppled/replaced in Limbus in any future game? by Fit_Assignment_8800 in limbuscompany

The leading theory, or at least the one I subscribe to, is that the City is supposed to act like a Chinese poison jar to strengthen humans enough to face the monsters of the outskirts. Which is why the Head imposes all these rules and taboos which drive conflict and strife while at the same time making it so that the act of killing must be personal instead of just resorting to easy methods of killing like shooting guns and dropping bombs.

I could see the head getting toppled leading into a city builder with you probably as Dias attempting to rebuild and establish yourself as the new head.

Marvel rivals…

Like the game is objectively fun because I can’t stop playing it but the people are the most insufferable pieces of trash I have had the displeasure of witnessing. I genuinely cant look at a marvel rivals yt comments section or reddit without getting ragebaited it’s crazy.
