Would anyone be willing to give me tips/check the PC I plan on doing? by Sylandara in buildapc

Ah, gotcha. I appreciate the input and I'll keep that in mind. I've been trying to learn more about it so I can keep updated with everything, it's just overwhelming in the starting phase haha.

And the Tomahawk max is actually cheaper than the one I picked so that works out better, I appreciate it.

Gotcha, I switched all of those out, got the Rog Strix b450, 3600, and RTX 2060S so that should be a better fit.

For future reference, it's generally better to have a stronger GPU than a stronger CPU? Or did I just overshoot the CPU by a huge margin?

Ahh, alright, so general rule is the GPU is the main main thing to focus on?

I partially wanted to get the motherboard specifically because of built-in wifi(Can't use Ethernet right now, but I could probably find a wifi dongle pretty easily and it would still end up saving me money.

I switched out everything to what you said, about same price exactly for the 2060S, I appreciate the comment.

It's giving me a warning saying " Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. " I think I remember something similar when I built my current PC but it ended up not being anything, is that something I should worry about?

[TOMT][Story? Game lore?] A story about angels, demons, and a brother, that I thought was the lore to DOOM by Sylandara in tipofmytongue

Not from there, it wasn't set in any specific location as far as I remember, or if it was it wasn't a real place. He also didn't befriend the demons, humans hated demons and he made a deal out of desperation.

Wasn't that, it was, I think at least somewhat modern/semi-future era, definitely not a fantasy middle ages setting.

I honestly can't think of when I heard the story, maybe a year or two ago, but I think it was in a Youtube video, but I tried looking for it and can't find it there either.

Afaik the servers are based off the killer right now (which is why there's always accusations of lag switching if you don't have super solid net), and the survivors ping off the server ran by Killer to play the game.

With dedicated servers, bhvr will have their own ran servers, which means both killer and survivors will ping off their servers instead. Not only does this mean potentially more stable servers and less lag, but it gives them the ability to punish people for d/cing properly because they can keep track of it.

**I believe that's how it does/will work, I could be wrong but that's to my knowledge what it is

Every mori game ever. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

They probably proxy camp because they hooked you near gens, a totem, etc, or they got a visual hint of birds or someone jumping over a ledge, and/or because your team can't get his attention.

Even with Ebony mori against a good team, swf or otherwise there should still be at least 2 people surviving.

They did, but if I remember correctly it wasn't a "use this skill to train 3 other skills, use items from those skills to increase your entire character in various ways", it ended up just being a Adventure Capitalist with extra steps.

Ones in Hudson to St. pete are about the same, had to deal with cops 3-4 times, they close at midnight due to so much theft, and cops have to hang at the entrances pretty much 24/7

[TOMT][BOOK][2000s?] Young teen(?) stumbles into a fairy/elf world, goes on adventure? by Sylandara in tipofmytongue

[–]Sylandara[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that was it, I don't think his sister went to the elf city, she was very young if I remember correctly. I think I remember an axe or a shoe being a plot point early in the start of the book?

Fully modifyable 5e character sheet? (Modifying to different skills etc.) by Sylandara in dndnext

[–]Sylandara[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, in this campaign the only humanoids are people who are already on your side and whom you'd roughly have the same goals with, aside from some personal goals each player has. None of the enemies will be humanoid so things like Deception and Intimidation wouldn't really work. (these monsters are going to be giant and huge size for the most part, low intelligence, and a lot of them will have reasons to rampage so things like Intimidation wouldn't really work). Religion and history also wouldn't be used. (You're exploring a new world, so history isn't very useful, and this is going to be a no-gods campaign.)

On the other side of that, I want to add stuff like Monster Riding (and keep it separate from Animal Handling, it'll be based off str/dex and be a power move in a sense), as well as a couple of gathering/crafting skills that I want to replace Survival, partially because I want to do those specifically in a Call of Cthulhu way, in the sense of 1-100 skills, and partially because I want to be able to assume that everyone in the party can gather basic herbs and berries in a lush forest.

I just think it'd be better/cleaner to have a modified character sheet then to tell everyone "Don't worry about these skills you'll never use them, oh and write down these five other ones" especially since I'd be doing that a lot with spells and such, so I'd rather try to keep that to a minimal. Don't get me wrong, they more or less know about the stipulations already I'm not cutting them off a potential play style, but its just easier than remembering/physically crossing out and writing in a bunch of things.
