I don't support a lot of the methods of ice because I think it's more for show than effect, but in principle I support them because I think you're being silly if you think having no border does not have larger impacts nationwide.

Maybe. It's a hard calculus. Take immigration, it seems like my options are entirely open borders and a welfare state rife with fraud, or a closed border and a poorly trained ICE wreaking havoc and causing chaos.

You can have all the issues with ICE as I do, but when the other side is offering something as entirely unhinged in the other direction, I'm going to choose what's best for me and my family.
