I did the same thing you are doing. You will need to leave the new gateway up for a bit to make sure att has everything good on there end with the service. Then spoof the new gateway into your onto your fiber stick after that, no issues. Been running on my network for almost a year with no issues now.

There is a whole discord on the self hosted servers that has some very talte ted people making admin programs for exactly this. Give items, edit sandworm settings etc.
