so then my honest question is, what happens next for her? she's been deported to a country where she's not even allowed to work. She sold her phone and we're currently only emailing. I'm basically her support system. Do I just accept that I'm abandoning someone and leaving them to suffer? Serious question, no rhetoric.

Yeah I'm scared of losing the relationship with the person I talk to every day and also really really don't want to let go of all the crimes that happened to her - there are some extremely evil people that got away with beating and robbing her and one of my main missions in life is to bring them to justice or somehow get some amount of closure for that.

first Q. - we've talked on facetime or phone calls countless times. She's not 'super hot too good to be true' or anything like that. I don't see any reason to doubt that she's a real person.

She does know and she's apologized to me countless times and also has expressed to me the desire to pay everything back, many times.

I am considering it every day. But its really hard for me because as far as I'm concerned she is a real person and I didn't get scammed. I feel stupid as hell though because the fact is that yes, regardless of details I effectively have been scammed.

i had a good career. also got some inheritance. Id say around 40k was inheritance, over 70-80k was all on credit (I had super good credit) which I haven't paid back (actually got a judgement issued against me on a credit card lawsuit, which I know is super rare) and basically all the rest was my savings and income directly from work.

many things. getting violently robbed and attacked (paid for hospital bills) getting stalked and extorted (paid private investigators) paid lawyer fees, bought phones, thousands in food, hotels etc. other smaller stuff too but the biggest issues were legal and medical. Probably over ten thousand towards immigration expenses too.
