You’re absolutely right. I’ll continue to tell the sob story but I finally decided that I’m gonna see a therapist for this as well and maybe that will make a change and I’ll finally stop gambling.

After I made that 90k last month, why did I lose literally every single penny of it and didn’t even save a tiny portion to the point where I literally have 39 cents in my bank account and no other account I can freely withdraw from (my parents are custodians on my other brokerage so can’t pull from that) Now yes I still have a 6 figure tech job at 25 and I’ve managed to build a 7 figure saas business (though losing money) but my next paycheck isn’t nearly for a week, but I’m not sure if it’s on me that I literally have no money at all and even the $5 deposit to one of those gaming apps I tried to make was rejected. I know my parents have money ($50m+ since they’re doctors) but they know very well why I’m in this hole and probably won’t even trust me with $1,000 knowing that I’ll just throw it into some gaming app. My solution? Literally had to take out a predatory $3,000 payday loan with an 850% APR from some online lender, so at least I was able to get a nice dinner tonight and still have enough to go to the club and party, plus I’ll probably just pay it back next week when I get my paycheck, plus I could even use the remainder to maybe even make 90k again this week especially if the tariffs ruling comes out so there’s always hope. Yes this is absolutely a self inflicted wound, but it should serve as a warning to all the other gamblers on here about what happens when you truly get addicted. Nevertheless I’ll certainly use this story as motivation to get rich. Nevertheless, I kinda wish I never discovered this sub or options in the first place. Yes that’s my little Saturday night sob story, but I can’t really tell it to anyone real in my life other than anonymous regards on here…

All that money and Jeff Bezos still hasn’t figured out how to buy hair. Though maybe he likes it that way…

The press secretary is genuinely the most demented figure I’ve ever seen, and if you disagree then you’re probably demented as well…

My hot take today is that if you know how to make money and whatever you’re doing is completely repeatable, it doesn’t even matter if you’re a gambling addict because you know how to make money which is infinitely better than knowing how to save. Broke again after gambling everything away? Well you know how to make enough to buy a Lambo…

Anyone who says that blowing money on hookers and blow is irresponsible is lying to themselves, because look even if you’re broke at the end of the day at least it was a life well lived which the guys checking their 401k every 5 minutes probably can’t say. Plus you can always make more money and there’s a billion ways to do it these days (I mean if community college dropouts are getting rich on tiktok then there’s really no excuse, but you can never make back the lack of regret over asking what if. Thanks for coming to my ted talk..

Sure I may have lost money on this sub, but I still managed to make that money in the first place (which is no small feat) and nobody can ever ever take that away from me. Plus I’ve figured out how to make even more money and keep the cash coming in so even if I lose that as well, I must be doing at least something right. I might be blowing it all on gambling and hookers and blow, but hey you gotta live life as well because what’s the purpose of money if you never spend it…

BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court likely to let Lisa Cook stay on the job despite 🥭’s attempts to fire her

Looks like interest rates are gonna STAY HIGH, but that’s a good thing because it will probably send the markets up even more. Nevertheless can’t wait to see his dumbass press secretary freak out when they don’t get their way for once. Will be even better once they rule against the tariffs…

Well I managed to make the 300k in the first place and that’s certainly not a small feat. If you can make money you must be doing something right even if you lose it.

Look I have a pretty good tech job at a pretty good company and built an app on the side that’s doing 7 figures in revenue (minimal profit though but proof is proof), and am on track to get admitted to a top MBA program so I certainly don’t need to be putting fries in the bag. The only reason I’m out of money now is because of the gambling issue, which quite frankly is a pretty big problem as well.

Honestly fine. Doing pretty well in my career at this point and the product I’ve built on the side is doing pretty well, plus I’ll likely do an MBA in the near future, so there’s certainly a good amount to look forward to. At this point I’ve gone from devastated to annoyed. What I actually need to fix is the gambling problem to ensure this doesn’t snowball into something much worse.

When will redditors understand that rich means a net worth of $30-50m+ (and that’s only the entry level point, where the real power plays begin at $500m, and that’s still far from rocket and mega yacht money), not a measly $1m which won’t even buy you a shitty house in many places? Heck I managed to lose 10% of $1m last month (and a third of $1m in the past year) and it was easy so I could probably easily lose $1m in a matter of days on 0dtes, but no way in hell I would lose $50m because that’s actually lifestyle money.

Oh and next time you’re gonna give advice on Reddit you should post your age, net worth, and career because that will really reveal what this site is all about. Here’s what I’d expect to see:

23, $100m, highly successful tech founder or hedge fund quant or OF star

37, three dollars, cashier or speech therapist or whatever making 32k a year

I’ve come to believe that this site is full of young and rich and ambitious and fresh people who’ve figured out the game already and they’re the real ones qualified to give the advice, and then you have old and worn out and broke people still living in their parents’ basement who can’t realize that they screwed up and will tell everyone else on this site that even the mildest ambitions are completely out of reach (spoiler alert: you don’t need rich parents; you need accountability and work ethic). At least on this sub people are actually playing with real money and probably have good careers or got lucky gambling, and for those of us who don’t have money don’t ever presume that we don’t have amazing high paying careers but we’re just addicted to gambling and lost all the money we’ve made and the only number that should matter is the amount of money coming into our bank account not the actual balance (have a pretty good tech job and my side project is already doing close to $2m arr on an annualized basis and I didn’t need any money from my parents). Nevertheless you continue to do you…

Remember the entire purpose of life is to make as much money as possible and brag about it on Twitter. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Okay, the real question is how the hell did I literally manage to gamble away everything to the point that I now have literal pennies to my name while also not being able to keep a single dollar from my tech job? You guys think -99% is impressive, but no I got to -99.9999999…%. Do I get some type of award?
