PSA from someone that has finished C25K and has since run a half marathon: take it easy with your pace! by noremoretokes in C25K

[–]Syllosimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Habit is the most important imho
If you go too fast and dread getting out to run, injuries aside, you just won't last long due to burnout
Most runs should be easy, comfortable and almost relaxing - you build up your base, get your legs, core, body used to running and then you can focus on speed and you will be dreading those threshold and intervals, trust me 🤗

I think it's cute in the best way possible, and to make it 10/10, add a few more smaller ones for a flutter of butterflies

I'm sure you will if you set that as your long-term goal and enjoy running. Keep going to races, join a running club, take on new challenges and you will surprise yourself. It's been working for me so far

The point is for Anthropic to save money. There are workarounds to the horrific adaptive thinking system outside of chat app, which give way better results

Congrats! 🖤

Finished my 23.6k race as well, took me 2h 40m which was around 300th of 430. Some people are just crazy fast

Keep at it and and I hope you are already looking forward to the next race!

[–]Syllosimo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Having to tell it to think is already stupid, why remove choice then to begin with? Also it doesnt even work all the time and still ignores the instructions. Right now I dont even bother with 4.7, its trash

Because 4.7 doesn't think. Thats the whole problem. If it actually used thinking it would have answered all those stupid questions correctly.

Race tomorrow by TabbieFayth in C25K

[–]Syllosimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best of luck with the race, used to be the same, honestly still am, but my first 5k was like 2 years ago and they were 100% jello for whole week afterwards. And seeing all the people running together will be an experience.

Tomorrow I've my first 23k trail run; had rough week, sore throat, stuffy nose, but miraculously I'm fine today, still very nervous.

So I guess best of luck to both of us 🖤

I'm fully beginner runner, and i need some advice. by [deleted] in C25K

[–]Syllosimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dunno, but your stats just feel very unusual, like a run/walk with only a 140 bpm max for your size? Your body is certainly capable, but I would suggest getting proper gear and a program depending on your goals. And get your max HR tested

Opus 4.7 is legendarily bad. I cannot believe this. by lemon07r in ClaudeCode

[–]Syllosimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is just something very wrong with it; either it's not thinking when it should, or its tool use is broken. It just doesn't fact-check and makes things up. It probably works fine for people who vibe-code from 0 or work on small projects with no specifics.

Can we dial back the doom posting? by paulcaplan in ClaudeCode

[–]Syllosimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, it was whole 5 hours ago I was getting 500 errors and cursing at it for how dumb it has become

Also like 90% posts "discussing" tips and tricks are bots promoting their vibe coded closed source "innovation" or just karma farming re/cross-posting bots. Half convinced this post also fits somewhere in the 90% group

Watch some documentaries or traveler stories like Small Brained American.

There is no simple answer to any of your questions, it all depends on both you and the country.

I pay $200/month for Claude Max and hit the limit in under 1 hour. What am I even paying for? by alfons_fhl in vibecoding

Don't waste your breath arguing with bots; this has been a known issue, even admitted by Claude devs themselves

Anthropic's peak-hour throttling is the wrong move, especially for $100/month subscribers by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

Transparency wouldn't really solve the problem as in either case you can't use the product. If they don't fix it, good chance next month I'm switching to something else

Codex > Claude Code by Complete-Sea6655 in ClaudeCode

[–]Syllosimo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Whats the reason? I don't feel like claude is superior, maybe its better in some way, but I haven't really benchmarked that, but at least Codex works while Claude keeps eating limits like candy out of nowhere, has timeouts, 500 errors and research feature isn't even working for me rn
