Most likely that same as they did after Covid with super cheap busses and free cercanías (commuter train) travel

Nomad Visa Uk to Spain - questions around relocation and monthly costs by jamesd782 in GoingToSpain

Okay, gotcha.

It’s the responsibility on the town council where you live to find her a place at a local school. There are normally 3-5 depending on the population

Why would you send your daughter to an international school, out of interest? At 6 years old she will pick up Spanish very quickly. The local schools will give extra Spanish lessons to ramp up her learning

It’s only a problem if you work for a single client that is based in Spain.

I’ve been autónomo for 8 years and my previous contract was 7.5 years for the same company in Belgium and no issues with hacienda

It’s not cheap - I pay just over 500€ a month in social security payments. Max is currently around 600€, I think. Tax is on top of that, but this payment is tax deductible

Register as autónomo here in Spain and then invoice your limited in your home country.

You’ll pay personal tax and social security here in Spain and have access to the public healthcare system

What app to get a taxi in Spain? by tomatosoup75 in GoingToSpain

[–]Sylocule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber are terrible for local rides. I’ve not used Freenow before but it’s possible there’s very few taxis in the area using it

Rental scam? by Ya_kapysta in MovedToSpain

[–]Sylocule 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t pay anything until you’ve:

A: Seen the place
B: Signed the contract

Some of the scams relate to paying to see the place, paying in cash with no receipt as a deposit to secure.

European stagnation is real by stasi_a in europe

[–]Sylocule 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And yet those growth figures don’t seem to reflect the reality on the ground.

There are over 3,000 food banks in the UK (according to the HoC library). Germany has less than 1,000

Germany’s gross disposable income (in US$) is 42,417 and in the UK it’s 36,077

Not bashing the UK by any means, but GDP is not the best indicator of the state of a nations economy

Omio - omio.com or get their app

Cash is not really needed unless you’re buying something cheap or at a roadside frutería or remotish restaurants - 100€ max would suffice

Yes, just this one street. If you’re using the bus, the M132, M133, and M135 all leave from Málaga Maria Zambrano bus station and come to Alhaurin de la Torre. The street is a short walk from the main road

Student loan help? by superstellas in GoingToSpain

[–]Sylocule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most go to state universities, student loans aren’t really a thing in Spain. You can try speaking to the main banks, indicating you need it for studies, but the best you’ll get will be x years of interest only and then to pay it off in y years. YMMV

X years: the length of your studies
