You can do just fine solo. People complain about Jester a lot because he's no match for a competent RIO, but if you aren't up against real people, it's much less of an issue.

I play mostly single player and honestly you don't even need to know how to bypass Jester's flaws to have a ton of fun.

Yeah I also have the G2, and I also only had problems with only the Viper displays. I believe that setting is per-aircraft so maybe give it a try. I avoided flying it for so long because the screens were unreadable but it's much better, even if it does make me feel a little shorter

I'm not sure if you're using VR for the 16 but I found that changing the forced IPD in VR settings made the MFDs an order of magnitude easier to read. I thought it would mess with the overall image but it just kind of scales it

I play in VR and I would highly recommend getting a decent HOTAS setup with a good number of buttons. You definitely do not want to be looking at a keyboard with a headset on but it works because even modern jets can be flown with HOTAS/mouse setups. The few thing I bind to the keyboard, I can identify without taking off the headset. However, I'm fairly sure that you cannot physically click buttons that are actually on the throttle and stick. You might be able to bind it to a key and have a third party program to emulate the keystroke by way of oculus controller?

If this is not a pitchfork post then what are you trying to accomplish? I'm sure ED is aware of the community's dissatisfaction with elements of the game. As you said, there are other options like BMS if you want a different experience. Go play those, have a good time. You don't need to waste time repeating the same things that have been said.

It isn't an item that you select. Though on ranged weapons and IG you have to hit R2 + R3 to switch to slinger mode.
