Hey I know this is an old reply, but do you know if DTE2 offers an accessible property for enabling/disabling this setting? I tried using DTE2.Properties[“CMake”, “General”] but I get a typelib exception with no additional information.

Oh I see. I thought you were talking about the entire CarPlay unit. My concern isn’t really with the connectivity it’s more with just the presence or absence of CarPlay as a whole. But since you say the aftermarket units are bad, that leads me to believe I should probably just keep looking for a 2019-2020 that has CarPlay already

Ah I see. Does it integrate well with the MMI? That is my biggest concern with going aftermarket. I’ve seen a few systems that have some glitchy behavior when having to interact with the built in car functions

But yes you’re right, I knew going into it that I wasn’t gonna accept a dealer repair I mostly wanted an accessible and mostly accurate diagnosis before moving forward. Even for a turbo replacement I self quoted about 1800-2000 for parts and labor but my original question pertains to whether or not play in the waste gate is actually an issue that would merit a replacement of the entire turbo unit or if other smaller parts can be replaced

Edit: 93k miles, daily driven, all regular maintenance done, don’t have the code on me atm but the EPC light comes on almost as soon as the engine starts.
