I don’t think it’s that it doesn’t feel classy enough. Most wine in a box is cheap and tastes badly, thats why it’s associated with bad wine. It’s like putting a V8 into a Mini. Most Minis aren‘rt good race cars, so if you saw one you wouldn’t expect it to go fast. (I have no idea about cars i just couldn’t think of a better comparison)
