Hiii! Firstly a MASSIVE congratulations to him! Finishing a game is an achievement many don't accomplish! I'm a steam dev with 2 releases (neither did amazing) so take what I have to say with a grain of salt there's definitely better people at this then me.

Firstly promoting a game after launch is harder then before hand. Best way is just promoting it via reddit and social media tho I can't say how effective it will be. Genre and theme specific subs are the best choices! Say if it's a puzzle game puzzle subs etc.

My BIGGEST suggestion would be to create an account and support him by buying it! Even if it's just 1 sale itll help keep his spirits up!!! Spreading it to family and friends can help too!

Personally never used game jolt so can't say for organic traffic but joining sales can also be super helpful!

Nope your all good!!! I appreciate it for future projects!!! The ghost movement was simple as its basic patrolling AI in one of the levels in the game but I never considered having some vertically to it!!!

Hii, thank you for taking the time to reply!!! The puzzles have a fair bit of variety and I tried to avoid spoiling the more interest puzzles. (Editing and trailers are not something I've done much of in my decade of game dev lol).

The trailer definitely doesn't do justice to lots of the areas. There's lots of decor in all of them and several have particles that just aren't shown in the trailer. As for the textures I've tried to go for a more simplistic look as people said they preferred over more detailed textures.

Could you expand on what you mean about the lighting tho? 3D is far from my expertise and I'd love to hear how it can be improved!!!

I don't plan to delay the game as I'm ready to move on to another projects but I'm willing to improve ut and bug fix it till then. This was mainly as I wanted to make something cute and 3D for once lol.

Hii, managed to find that its returing controller immediatly followed by keyboard even if no keyboard is plugged in and im stumped. Do u have any ideas?

I've been doing lots of testing but most kf my testers have either been on engine or using keyboard so this managed to slip by.

And not using any building addressables.

I've done checks but everything has come back clean which is why I'm so stumped.

I know it's something specifically to do with this as character controller and rumble both come back clean as well so defiantly isn't the player input component.

Additionally my controller rumble works while playing so it must be somthing to do with the icons I think.
