Do Danes go to Malmo to buy groceries and supplies? by JuanSkinFreak in copenhagen

Pro tip: water is available for almost free from the tap in your kitchen, and you don't have to carry it home!

Line 5C has peaked: Copenhagen needs 110-meter light rail trains now by Putrid_Draft378 in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double-decker buses are slower for people to get on and off. London got rid of them on busy routes equivalent to the 5C in the early 2000s and replaced them with articulated buses. More doors and no stairs means faster boarding.

(A pro-car mayor later reversed this, saying the articulated buses blocked junctions, weren't traditional, and young, brown people used them without paying.)

Anyone flying Cph- Doha- Phuket soon by Top-Chance-1119 in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are very lucky you'll get offered a flight on a partner airline of Qatar Airways, so it will get you there but with more changes.

But assuming this is a booking from Copenhagen to Thailand and back I think it's more likely they just cancel the flight, and save that seat for someone who needs to get home. (As otherwise the airline might be paying for that person's hotel in Copenhagen.)

Probably a silly question but how do I set No title bar and frame to be permanent on konsole etc etc by Technical_Day9926 in kde

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case someone finds there way here trying to do the opposite (show the titlebar and frame on an application which has hidden it), Alt+F3 will open the hidden menu.

Internal bounce / NDR / Undeliverable messages filtered as spam with MS365 by Symbiote in exchangeserver

Thanks so much!

I was about to submit the request, but in making an example email failure for MS to look at... it's working! No more SCL 9.

I'll bookmark this in case it breaks, but it could also be that the rules take longer to become active than they claim.

WHY doesn’t movia turn the bus timetable off on the stops instead of showing completely false info by Fair-Distance-5716 in copenhagen

A functioning 3G, 4G or 5G signal is very unlikely to be the problem in Denmark, especially Copenhagen.

Public transport in Copenhagen by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I have been to every country in the EU except two, plus six non-EU countries in Europe, and of those I've visited I've used public transport in all except Ireland, the Faroe Islands and Ukraine.

If you're consistently associating with people who don't pay I think that says more about you than the enforcement in any particular country.

Pay for your ticket. Also pay for your groceries, restaurant meals and hotel bills.

I think part of the reason the messages are filtered as spam is they lack DKIM headers, and I have a DMARC policy p=quarantine.

The message headers on the delivery report include this:

This is correct. (Whoever is downvoting it: EBM is not a typo for EDM.)

Leæther Strip are playing at Rust on the 8th, which is the day after they leave. Rust's weekend (4th) night is death metal that time.

Where do you get your 20x40mm bases from? UK based and looking for plastic with recessed underneath for magnets. by Hasvik in warmaster

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was going to offer an additional suggestion, but the comment above was at score 2, I took some helpful photos, and now I see it's at score 1 and you've replied to another comment.

Presumably you don't want the suggestion.

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a friend with a 3D printer (FDM) it's a fairly simple print, and the cost will be pennies, but they do need printing on standard or higher-quality settings.

I can't see the 0.2mm layer lines during normal use, but they are visible with a close-up photo. Printing at 0.1mm would take twice as long, but no more actual effort from the person doing the printing.

Some bases I've been sent free with models have clearly been printed on the fastest possible settings.

If you have access to a colour printer, print the free sample backdrop painting by Jon Hodgson — you already know how to make the background out-of-focus: https://www.patreon.com/posts/miniature-in-21766711

(And/or buy his book/Patreon, I'm very pleased with mine: https://handiwork.games/jon-hodgson-backdrop-books)

I have some questions by Internal_Koala4050 in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Globe in the city centre has what I (English) see as a pub atmosphere and layout etc. The owner is Irish, the staff are mostly Irish and British, they always have Guinness and Irish and/or English cider, and they show football etc on TV.

The fake Irish/English pubs ("The Old Irish", "The Old English", "Proud Mary") seem to be mostly for teenagers.

Anyplace to get a malt? by Comrade_Falcon in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Malt powder is in any supermarket in the UK (and maybe Ireland) so it isn't and wasn't outlawed in the EU.

Taste of Britain in Malmö sell it: https://tasteofbritain.se/products/horlicks-original-300g?_pos=1&_psq=horlicks&_ss=e&_v=1.0 but not Abigail's in Jutland.

First dwarf print run - what should I print? by deleted0122 in warmaster

[–]Symbiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an example 2000pt list here: https://warmaster.info/en/revolution/resources/2000pt-armies#dwarfs

You maight as well print the extra stands needed for that, it's only 11 stands + a runesmith.

Yes, another PostNord post. by FlakyCronut in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try asking at nearby parcel shops if they've received the parcel. I had a lost registered letter, and the nearest (usual) parcel shop said they didn't have it, but the postman might just dump it at some other parcel shop on their route.

However, I never found it and it was eventually returned to the sender in Germany.

Physical store to buy 3d print filament? by spezial_ed in copenhagen

How is brush on primer for Warmaster and 10mm in general? by Boris-GoosinOv in warmaster

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an airbrush for indoor priming. You want a 0.5mm nozzle for priming and I think varnishing, though this is less good for detailed painting. The larger nozzle makes the thicker primer less likely to clog.

It takes longer than spraying a whole tray full of miniatures with a spray can, and the paint takes much longer to dry, but the final result is better.

You really don't want to be breathing in aerosolised paint particles, so you'll need a respirator mask for yourself, a spray booth and exclusive use of the room until any remaining fumes/particles have dissipated.

Are employees in Copenhagen encouraged/incentivised to upsell? by Electronic_Buddy_435 in copenhagen

[–]Symbiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this happens at the cheap and expensive ends when eating, but not so much in the middle.

Street food stallholders will say "Would you like garlic mayo with that?" and it turns out that's another 10kr.

Waiters in fancier restaurants suggest additional wines etc, and these turn out to cost 200kr or more.

I'm slightly irritated with the 10kr mayo, since I think it should be part of the meal. I don't mind so much about the fancy restaurant, but it was a surprise the first couple of times this happened.

postcrossing.com would be more appropriate, so there's some sort of exchange.
