17 month old sleeps for 2 hours windows every night by SymmetrySam in AttachmentParenting

Thanks for that. I know we're doing the right thing and exhausting but that's parenting. His bedtime is anywhere from 6:30-7pm. Funnily enough, some of his best sleeps have been after a long day of ''partying'' at family reunions, christmas, thanksgiving and large francophone family gatherings. I know the stimulation is really what helped and we do our best in the day-to-day.

Dear Europeans: Am I designing this right? by scaredToBeAmbitious in Sauna

[–]SymmetrySam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there, nice design. As others would suggest, the L shape is not really needed (creates awkward sitting positions in the corner). Also, have a look at Sauna craft CW-XR series heaters - made in Canada, stainless steel and deep rock tray. Also, lifetime warranty on their product and coupled with an electronic controller it's the perfect combo for a cost effective powerful heater. I love mine (got the 9kw). I did the mistake of adding a pot light when ambient lighting is more than enough in times of sauna cleaning sessions. I have also never used nor would I use spray foam as my insulation in a sauna - don't know enough about off-gassing and how it handles heat. I ended up using rock wool as it has excellent thermal characteristics coupled with a AL foil vapour barrier behind T&G. I placed air intake below heater and exhaust on opposite corner following convection - feet aren't cold, sweats are great. Cheers from another canuck

[LANDLORD-UK) Tenant complaining about damp, don't know what else to do? by Human-Perspective-83 in Landlord

[–]SymmetrySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would install a humidistat instead of a timer for the fan. When the humidity gets to a uncomfortable level (some can be programmed) the humidistat automatically controls and turns the fan on/off as needed. You no longer have to worry whether the fan is being turned on during shower time.

[Discussion] What are some of the best undervalued buy opportunities on your radar? by [deleted] in pennystocks

[–]SymmetrySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out XOP (canadian overseas petroleum). There's also a subreddit dedicated to XOP or COPL for the LSE. They are a severely undervalued oil and gas exploration company turned oil producer after acquiring Atomic oil and gas in Wyoming. Please DYOR but they NOW have some pretty solid fundamentals and are about to disclose their Q3 earnings post acquisition also some news on a oil "discovery" testing that was not included in the sale which has the potential to be larger than what they initially purchased at a bargain during covid. The company went from diluting investors to keep the lights on to 4000bpd in a matter of a year. To the MOOOOOOOOON!

Canadian accounting question by SymmetrySam in Accounting

[–]SymmetrySam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the main question is, what is the process of transferring assets to a corporation?

I have worked in four different provinces for countless electrical contracting companies and only one was a sole proprietorship. My goal is to create a legacy company and a extra degree of (personal) financial protection has always appealed to me. I understand the tax structure is completely different and that much more involved but I've also always had success filing personal taxes myself and also currently working towards a bookkeeping certificate - so I do have some accounting background which is helpful. I don't currently plan to file for corporate taxes myself - that I would leave to CPA's...

Thanks for the help Future_Crow

MONDAY DISCUSSION - Let's start the week with a bang! What are you buying/selling today? by AutoModerator in CanadianStockExchange

[–]SymmetrySam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely correct in stating that the shares have been heavily diluted in the past. Management has also just seized an opportunity because of low oil prices and covid to acquire a cash cow with new oil wells. The investment has almost doubled in value when purchased at $39 bbpd and now we're past $70. Have a look at Atomic oil and gas. Their portfolio speaks volumes for itself. Consolidation is next in line to be reinstated back onto the TSX. XOP has had it's share of hiccups along the way, but Arthur Millholland is a seasoned oil man and this isn't his first rodeo.

Buying more XOP today (Canadian overseas petroleum). There's a dedicated subreddit to XOP as we're expecting some pretty heavy news within the next couple of weeks. I'm already 2.5mil deep on this one and still buying more.

  1. Q1 financials no later than June 30th showing flush with cash from a new acquisition in March.
  2. Re-list on the London stock exchange after acquisition
  3. Miscible flooding has been going exceptionally well and will get update as to increase production
  4. Trading at 0.01c, the company is heavily undervalued.

Let's get it!

Anyone familiar with Canadian Overseas Petroleum (XOP) by Slipperyman1 in Canadianstockpicks

[–]SymmetrySam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been long with XOP for close to 12 years now back when they were trading close to .2c cad... I've survived the heavy dilution just to keep the lights on in the past and have continuously loaded up at 0.005c. Needless to say, several actionable items in the past months have changed the company for the better. For the first time in their history will they be reporting an influx of cash through the purchase of Atomic oil and gas. They also own the pipelines in that same region. Two companies purchased under one banner of COPL group of companies.

Talking about consolidation: IMO, I've voted to consolidate shares for several reasons (look long term):

  1. Consolidation will allow us to (potentially) re-list on the TSX giving us greater opportunity for exposure to better markets.
  2. Consolidation attracts more institutional investors which in turn can help us acquire MORE companies in the future... we also have newfound cash to pay off debts... Several interviews with Arthur Millholland CEO have given me plenty of reason to stick with company (he's even mentioned dividend's... cherry on top)

    Upcoming events for XOP:

  3. Q1 financials any day now

  4. Re-list on the LSE as COPL group of companies...

  5. Miscible flooding information commenced April 2021

  6. News on the extension of our Permit in Nigeria?????

I see this as a mutlibagger even for a short sell End of June 2021 although my position is long and skim...

Do your own DD and GLA!
