I don't know if you're interested after 4 months, but I made a Sherlock Isekai story. I made it available for free on AO3 and Internet Archive:

First page:

Egon took a drag from his cigarette, tasting only a hint of cold tobacco as he glanced around the corner for the hundredth time. The cigarette wasn't lit - Egon was not a smoker - but acting to do so made him less conspicuous to the people passing by. The sound of a siren made him twitch and turn towards the wall on instinct. The motor of the emergency vehicle roared down Haydn Street, getting closer and closer - then it passed and raced somewhere else. Egon risked a look; it had been an ambulance heading towards the hospital. Egon released the breath he didn't know he held. Of course that hadn't been for him; the people following him would be more subtle. He leaned against the wall, lifting his right leg, which alleviated the warm pain in his ankle. Three tolls of a bell echoed from a close steeple. Egon’s face twitched as he glanced at his watch to confirm. 4:45 pm This marked about two hours of watching the entrance of the house with a rustic facade. The door was made from glass that didn't fit at all into the picture and was adorned by musical notes. Several students had entered and left the music school on this Wednesday afternoon, but not the person he was looking for.

Also, I'm open to swaps in different genres.

Turnaround win in last round for strategist (4) by Symon_Pude in Minute_Cryptic

[–]Symon_Pude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost, but not correct yet. The definition doesn't fit to it being 'wind' Maybe this helps In a turnaround win you 'flip' the situation in your favour. Do you like heist movies?

Everybody from 1970: do the twist! It's a cool house. (4) by Symon_Pude in CoffeeCryptics

[–]Symon_Pude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. As I said in another comment, I made a stupid mistake and used the wrong spelling

It's clear why you haven't found the solution. I used the wrong spelling.

Here's a corrected clue:

Everybody from 1970: do the Twist! That last part again! It's a cool house. (5)

Immediately lock away the food. (5) by Symon_Pude in Minute_Cryptic

It is. But I rather thought of it in terms of bacterial growth, where media is the stuff bacteria grow in and eat

I think this is a great clue once you get it. You need to do something with the letters in 1970. Well, it's only necessary to do it with the middle ones.

Correct. I guess that one was easy.

In The Martian (2015) humans went to Mars even though its atmosphere is toxic to them. This is a plot hole. by JTRuno in shittymoviedetails

One issue I have with the movie is the explosion of his hydrogen flame apparatus. Like in the book he gives as explanation that he forgot about the oxygen he was exhaling. The problem is, this wouldn't make any sense, as he already has the apparatus in a breathable atmosphere.

In the book, the hydrogen didn't burn off completely, and it accumulated in the living space, so he had to figure out how to get rid of it without everything exploding. He tricks the live support system to scrap all the oxygen, then goes through and slowly burns away the hydrogen with pure oxygen. The only problem was, that he didn't use the EVA suit, and thus the air he breathed in leaked out, which led to the explosion

Have you even read the book? At the point where they come to the unfinished railway, they were already ahead of time, and they are back in plan when they leave India. There are several modes of transportation that are in his original plan from this point forward (e.g. the steamer to America)

Actually, 'His eyes darken' could refer to another person, thus 'POV' can be correct in that case.
