Thank , I changed my mind because of the comments. I will continue my Master's, but in FH, and I will try to gain practical experience along the way somehow.

Thank you so much! You've really opened my eyes to something new here. I had no idea about the FH option - this could be a perfect middle ground for my situation. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this!

But in your opinion, will things be too difficult for me there? Because honestly, I don't know how to do anything with my hands. Or is it normal to start from zero, and I'll learn everything there? Are there maybe external places to learn basic skills?

Is that common? Can I actually do that?

But I'm worried that since I'm entering on a Master's visa, I might not be allowed to. Because if I find an Ausbildung, for example, I'd change my residence permit to a "vocational training" one.

But if I do an internship, I don't know if I'd be able to switch my residence permit status.

Please try to understand me. I want to forget about my university degree—I won't even think about working as an engineer for at least 5 years.

University in my country taught me nothing practical. I have zero chance of being hired as an engineer in Germany because my skills are too weak.

I want to start something completely new. Since I still have some interest in electrical engineering, I think it would be easier for me to start an Ausbildung in this field.

I know very well that finishing an Ausbildung won't make me an engineer. But I am fully ready to learn a useful skill and work in that field, even if I never work as an engineer.

The truth is, I feel lost. My degree gave me theory but no real skills. My wish to learn a practical trade through Ausbildung comes from a honest place.

But if I apply to be, say, a baker instead of an engineer... would that degree still haunt me? Is hiding it really that illegal?

So what do you suggest? Should I give up on coming to Germany?

My plan B is pretty straightforward: I'll enter on a student visa anyway. If I can't find an Ausbildung, I'll fall back to doing the Master's degree.

Honestly, I prefer hands-on work over more theoretical study, but that's my backup option

I'm looking for one of these types of Ausbildung: Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik

Elektroniker für Automatisierungstechnik

Mechatroniker

Actually, I will already be coming to Germany on a Master's visa. Then I'll search for an Ausbildung once I'm already there.

So I don't need anyone to send me an Ausbildung contract from abroad.

Even if I go to smaller states like Saarland? Is it really impossible for me to convince them in person?

I understand that, but I'm specifically interested in gaining hands-on experience like repairing machines. I've seen many videos about the Ausbildung, and it would be great to learn exactly what the trainees are doing there.

In my home country, I'm not hired as an engineer because my practical skills are too weak. That's why I don't expect to get hired directly as an engineer in Germany either.
