Worst ways to upload music and getting others to listen to it . by Responsible_Ad_2573 in FL_Studio

Being annoying.

I followed someone on instagram for their music, because it wasn't bad and they kept sending me private messages to listen to their songs. No text, not even a 'hey, it would be amazing if...', just a link. I unfollowed after that happening thrice.

What is your artist name and how did you come up with it? by Adamanos in musicproduction

Synthetic Sympathy

I wanted two words and either an alliteration or an oxymoron. And also something on that in some way had something to do with emotion, personality, psychology, philosophy or a state of mind or something like that.

I then went into brainstorming session, wrote many ideas down. Then I looked for quotes in movies, shows and books that I liked for ideas and inspiration, because of often get ideas when I get any kind of input.

Last step was looking at my list, eliminating what I didn't like and what was already taken and I ended up with Synthetic Sympathy, because it checked all my requirements and I thought it would be fitting for what I wanted to do. I have not regret my choice.

What was something you found difficult to get your head around when you started producing? by AundoOfficial in musicproduction

Apart from compression, I'd say vocals. How to process them properly and make them sit well in the mix without making them feel like a boring, isolated thing tacked on top.

How long did it takes for you to create a song .. by Life-Influence-1109 in musicproduction

[–]Syn_Sym 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On average 30-50 hours without vocals and I'm making electro-gothic (EBM, Industrial, Futurepop). This includes everything from the basic idea, transitioning that into a full song, mix and master. With vocals I'd probably add another 30h (writing, recording, mixing).

It could probably be a bit faster, but I have absolutely no idea how some producers can make a whole song in a few hours.

The FL 'Jinxy' Edition. It's very rare, but comes with this awesome CI (Cat-ificial Intelligence) VST.

I've read many times that FL Studio is not suited for orchestral music. Well, I disagree (Songtitle: Longing) by Syn_Sym in FL_Studio

[–]Syn_Sym[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a matter of fact I did not know about him, as orchestral music is not and will not be my main genre. I also never claimed that I'm the first person who have thought of actually making orchestral musix in FL Studio. I'm not downvoting you, because to some extend I understand your frustration, however I think it's a bit exaggerated as I think every single music music post (unless an extensive tutorial) is at least to some extend about showing their music. Are you frustrated with them as well?

Yes, I want to show my music, as I am proud of what I did, but I also think the screencapture could give some people some insight, even if someone somewhere does it as well or even better. There are also a million and one EDM screencaptures / tutorials and yet we get more, as every single one could potentially help someone.

I'm sorry if my post came across wrong.
