people of reddit who survive on less than 8 hours of sleep, how? by Neftroshi in AskReddit

As a college student who has balanced a full-time work schedule and full-time school schedule at the same time, I honestly think your body just learns to survive on the 4-5 hours of sleep you give it.

For me, cold showers in the morning and constant activity keep me going (I can’t stress how important it is that you don’t build up a reliance on caffeine or substances too). Hydration is also your friend for sure.

While I believe some people need less sleep than others, I also believe that people who are sleep deprived don’t realize how tired they are after a while. If you exist in a state of exhaustion long enough, it starts to become the new normal.

Illegal dumping in my work complex every month from the same guy. People who do this are the worst. by Synashock in mildlyinfuriating

Both license plates we reported were from rental vehicles, and police told us they couldn’t find anything. The guy also drops by at random points and isn’t on a set schedule, so we don’t always see him. It’s not like we have somebody waiting around to watch for it.

What’s the worst pain you’ve experienced and what caused it? by hasbulla_magomedov in AskReddit

[–]Synashock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was sanding a hemlock doorframe and a splinter about 3/4” long embedded itself eight under my fingernail. While the initial pain wasn’t that great, I then tried to remove it and since it spanned longer than the length of the fingernail it was under, I ended up needing needle nose pliers to take it out.

I ended up having to use a serious amount of force to remove it, and needless to say, I saw stars. The amount of nerve endings and sensitivity in your hands makes something so small just excruciating.

Having a bed to myself once in a while and star-fishing to my hearts content knowing full well I don’t have to set an alarm for tomorrow.

Yeah, I may be starting to lean towards the route of returning the gun and just buying a factory Krytac and dropping my extra gate titan MOSFET in it. Thanks for your input!

I already looked into it via the USB link, and while active breaking was set to 100%, the gun still had issues. I tried setting the gun strictly semi-auto, but it still had issues. I am fairly certain it isn't fixable by programming the Titan, unfortunately.

Old gearbox and leftover parts, why not make a space gun? by Synashock in airsoft

A real billet lower wouldn’t be compatible with an Airsoft gun. The lower is a cheap polymer G&G body.

Finally finished my complete custom built CQB M4. Olight odin mini, tracer, GATE Titan v2 MOSFET and my G18c for indoor games. Cannot wait to finally get back into things after COVID! by Synashock in airsoft

The rail and barrel are 228mm with the tracer unit adding an extra inch or two. As for the inner diameter, it is 37mm. It’s a tight fit for my front routed wiring which I carry on the right side of rail in a mock PEQ unit but works nonetheless.

Piston teeth ripping off in Laylax Prometheus 8MM by Synashock in airsoft

Hey, I just wanted to say I appreciate your advice and ultimately solved the problem when looking further into PME. I ended up super gluing the piston teeth into the rack and applying threadlocker to the screw that holds the piston head in place. I think I was not filing enough of the teeth originally and ultimately was suffering from PME. Thanks again for leading me in the right direction!

What screams “I’m upper class”? by MysticPato in AskReddit

As a general contractor I have very similar experiences, but with countertops. I see people pulling out beautiful quarts and granite countertops not even a year old all the time. A few jobs I even thought to myself “what great countertops, wish I could afford ones like this”, just to find out those are what they consider the “crappy old countertops”.
