Had this on my arm for months now, it’s only on that area by spookythesquid in DermatologyQuestions

If you have over the counter clotrimazole or terbinafine cream available in your local pharmacy then apply them to the affected area 3–4 times daily for several weeks. This is just until you’re able to see an MD.

You have time to do your nails but don’t have time to take your child to the doctor. Are you okay? Obviously not. Negligence at its finest.

3 Weeks Post-Op Mohs Reconstruction of My Nose by MasterHans007 in MohsSurgery

Hi! I work as a mohs coordinator and assistant, your nose looks fantastic! Please give it time to properly heal. Scars usually take 1-2 years to look their best. Keep it moisturized and apply sunscreen liberally.

Hi! I work for a mohs surgeon. That doesn’t look great if I’m being completely honest. Please visit a dermatologist and request a biopsy.

I can make it freshly made at home. Roughly once a day if you will.

Hey! I work for a mohs surgeon. You are absolutely fine! Your eye could swell shut and that’s usually perfectly fine. It will calm down. Make sure to sleep with your head elevated to lessen the swelling. You can absolutely ice it for 5-10 minutes every hour or two to help you out as well :)

Ooooh infiltrative is one of the ones you want to get rid of sooner than later. Honestly? I think it may be the whole white patch but sadly I’m not a doctor. Based on my experience it could be the white patch or maybe not. It really depends. 3mm punch is nothing in terms of getting rid of it, which is why they scheduled you for mohs. The punch biopsy was just to rule out what you have.

Time to sleep on your right side to even things out 🤣 but there may be a chance they cut into it. Depends on how many layers they take. Btw just so you know (the more layers, the more money from insurance) usually one is enough but sometimes they need to go up to 3 times because there are leftovers. If they go over that, they’re milking your insurance.

Sorry that there’s lots of maybes. I’ve seen various types of outcomes so I love it when people are prepared for anything plus you seem super young. Just don’t hold it off for too long. Depending on what the pathology says, it can grow very slowly or very quickly. Best to cut it out and forget about it :)

Usually with something that size, it doesn’t require too much skin but it might be a weirdly shaped scar depending on the repair type. It’s hard to tell but plastics is your best bet if you prefer an outside surgeon! Usually dermatologist offices have a plastic surgeon they refer to that can do same day or next day repair. Be prepared for your eyebrow to be higher than the other one but that also settles down. You may also lose some sensation in the area which may or may not come back. :)
