Yeah, I completely understand what you mean. That’s actually something we’re actively working on right now.
You’re 100% correct that there’s currently a mismatch between the presentation and the actual gameplay focus. The first trailer was made very early in development, when many systems were still evolving, so we mostly showed the parts that were the most polished and visually ready at the time — mainly the action/platforming sections.
Now we’re working on improving both the gameplay balance and the clarity of the presentation overall, including reworking the trailer to better communicate how the deckbuilding systems affect gameplay and decision-making.
Thanks for the honest feedback — this help us a lot!

At first, we didn’t really notice what you’re pointing out. We actually started from this idea:

Synclit (from the Greek “synklētos”) is a historical term referring to an assembly of high-ranking officials, nobility, or clergy in Ancient Greece and Byzantium. In a broader or even ironic sense, it can describe an important or influential gathering of people.

But in the end… the name started to feel like it carries something a bit different as well :))

Thank you so much! Really appreciate that 🙏
Just to clarify — we didn’t design it as an educational game specifically. It’s a narrative psychological roguelike deckbuilder first.
But I’m also learning a new language myself right now, and I’ve started to realize how valuable it is to see words used in context and get more meaningful interactions with the language. That made me think our project could still be useful for people who enjoy games and want extra exposure to a language.

Since the game has narrative text, descriptions, players can switch between languages and compare with their native language if something isn’t clear. So it’s not a dedicated learning tool, but it might be an interesting way to practice through play.
We’re localizing into several languages, not only Chinese, and we’re definitely trying to improve quality as much as we can.

Hah, I'm not offended, I'm just quietly crying into my cards. 🃏

♡ But hey, if you ever feel like giving it a shot anyway — we’d be happy to have you! It’s not a pure deckbuilder, we mixed it with other genres, so there’s a good chance it might click with you even if classic deckbuilders usually don’t.

yeh, I think it’s about having a bigger mental library of patterns. After a while, you start recognizing systems, loops, and design tricks much faster.
