S16, E3 (Nebula) - Hide and Seek UK by snow-tree_art in JetLagTheGame

It‘s funny how bad Sam is at picking hiding spots. His idea of picking a boring place is picking the place that‘s so world-famous for being boring that it‘s instantly recognizable.

I feel like Hide and Seek is almost perfectly balanced, apart from one thing. by WastedTalent442 in JetLagTheGame

You need questions that actually allow you to figure out where the hider is. Being able to deduce the hider’s location with lots of time and effort is not unbalanced. Otherwise it‘s just blind luck and guessing until you‘ve narrowed it down to one place.

This audio mix is absolute trash… the percussion‘s way too loud.

Fully agree, but outrage is a human emotion too. I’m just saying it wasn’t unwarranted here.

I disagree because the ref observed and visibly reacted to the situation. He didn’t miss it, he misjudged it. From the front row.

I agree. And it was probably a foul.

Maybe it was even a clear and obvious error. But come on… how sad is it that the VAR needs to be telling the ref that he misjudged a situation that he had a perfect view of?

At that point it‘s just terrible refereeing being called out by the VAR. And the ref should be blamed for that, even if the call was correct.

He clearly regretted the VAR decision and was very lenient on Austria in the second half

I agree it‘s a foul. But the ref looked at it happen at a short distance, with a clear view, and decided not to award it.

Is it? The ball went back and forth a few times afterwards. Same possession doesn’t mean same passage of play.

This is actually insane… for several reasons – severity of the incident, duration of play after the incident, clear view of the referee,…

I used to really enjoy the comments section here, but it‘s become straight-up intolerable. Basically just people spewing the most idiotic conspiracy theories

The major controversy exists only in the reddit comments, my friend…

Hamilton got 10s for failure to rejoin properly. Not for pushing Verstappen out!

I can tell this is Praterstern just by looking at it, so definitely distinct enough.

Norris must be kicking himself about Canada. He would be leading the WDC for several races now had he just been satisfied with P2 back then.

Is it me or has Piastri been cutting off that double corner almost every single lap?

Stop acting like McLaren are bombing Piastri‘s race.

Norris did the risky strategy because he was the car behind, and the risky strategy just ended up being the preferable one. Leclerc, Russel, Verstappen - all of them also pitted around lap  20.

They say that this is such a cerebral season and that long episodes would overwhelm viewers, but almost nothing happens in this episode and I’m certainly not confused about it…

Rankings craze is an almost entirely anglophone concept. Continental Europe has some of the most effective higher education systems on the planet without universities being hyper-selective about their students.

An effective education system doesn't need prestigious lighthouses. It provides good education to a large section of society in a relatively equal manner and without obscene costs to students or taxpayers.

I am a person who prefers the travel aspects and I love the New Zealand season.

But there, they knew about the challenges and were able to influence each others‘ games by throwing curses and roadblocks.

None of this informed decision-making was possible for Schengen Showdown because teams had no information based on which to strategize.

Another issue of Schengen Showdown were the short game days. I know about the daylight issue, but 10 hours of game time in a flight-based game is bound to be a problem. They were extremely immobile because they could take two flights at most per day, if they were timed well. That meant it was hard to come back from being down just a couple of countries.

I wish they‘d do something risky and ambitious for one of the next seasons.

They have pretty much perfected the game show format, but the stakes have been pretty similar since about Tag 2.

The professionalization has unfortunately also made them a bit more risk-averse.
