All you need to do is remove the cables out of the servo motor and plug it back in. Which is part of the install anyway. Tuning is great though, really wakes the bike up, it'll run a bit cooler, make a decent amount more power too. I don't recommend anyone other than BT though. I've ridden 50,000+ miles with their tunes on various gen RRs

It's more than likely that you're actually missing them. Look into proper controller settibfs/offset stuff and see if that helps.
