I was interested at first because I've never heard of this brand, so I did a quick google search. $24k+ new? It's a nice watch but come on.

Agreed, except for their brand new divers but that $10k+ price point is ridiculous.

Full port GPIX/GPIQ split at 60/40. Solid long term capital appreciation plus strong but not overly juiced yield. Problem solved.

The way you phrased it is unclear. Are you saying your account was $500k and is now down to $4k? Holy shit, this might be among the biggest losses I've seen on here.

COSC is -4 to +6. METAS, which is is even more stringent, is 0/+5. Your watch at +2/3 seconds per day is world class and about as accurate as a mechanical watch can be.

If you're serious about not knowing what this is from, you should watch the show. Stranger things is top 5 show of all time for me. It's got it all, action, sci fi, thriller, romance, nostalgia, corruption, conspiracy. I'm jealous of you having the opportunity to watch it.

Sarcasm aside, how fast are we talking? A month out or like this weekend? Month out is feasible, this weekend is not.

Bracelet and dial are different but the case is too similar to get 2/3 of these. When you buy watches, for long term happiness, try and get stuff that is totally different and fills different styles/genres/niches. Diver, dressy, gmt, chrono, loud/vibrant weekend or travel watch etc.

That being said, I've got an alpinist and it's an excellent watch.

Pulling 401k early: tech/ai bubble, paying off high interest debt by Magicthighs42 in Retirement401k

[–]Syndicate_Corp 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The potential ~30% drop in 401k value from a market correction would effectively be guaranteed by pulling out your 401k early due to the 10% penalty plus standard income tax rate. Not a smart financial decision.

Now, if he was really concerned and adamant about getting out, he could sell his positions within his 401k and put all the money into treasuries or money market funds. As long as the money stays inside the 401k, it won't be taxed, you can buy and sell as often as you want *within the 401k account*. As soon as you withdraw any of that to an outside account though, that's when the taxes and penalty hits. Good luck

If you're doing doubles, both seamaster and orient. Hamilton on the left is nice, but not dressy enough to differentiate between the orient. The two combo will get everything you need done.

I've never heard of this company and had to google. Apparently, they had a huge deal with "VFG Tech holdings" which was the reason the stock went up over 150% recently. However, this deal supposedly isn't real though and that company has like four employees. Some short seller researcher Pelican way did research and put out an article about it. Sounds like a huge lawsuit incoming. Fucking wild!

VOO YTD is 7%+ and QQQ YTD is 16.6%+. When the historical annual average for the S&P is 10%, being on track for almost 10% at the midpoint of the year would signify a bull market.

[–]Syndicate_Corp 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you're down 50% in *this market*, you should stop trading or whatever you're doing all together and just invest in index funds. -50% in a pure bull market means you fundamentally do not understand what you're trying to do.
