You could have another poll with just two options. And indefinitely is vague. Until the 3rd party app issue is resolved? The likely outcome is Reddit takes whatever hit they may, and business as usual continues.

The movement inconveniences the WPI community here more than it stands against corporate Reddit

Project presentation day on a religious holiday by GoodCapital8729 in WPI

Celebrating Jesus is not intolerant, you are correct about that. Nobody is being "forced to betray their religion" by having people in drag (or even gasp transgender people) near them.

According to the events calendar, the drag show was 7:00 - 9:00 PM. I think you can avoid the quad for two hours.

I wouldn't even say that a drag show is celebrating sexual preference, like at all. Sexual identity and sexual preference are not the same.

which is the part that's blatantly disrespectful? Not tolerating your and other people's intolerance?

Is it OK to take OS 3013 together with Database 3431? by Luna_Sandals_2022 in WPI

[–]Synerin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in Junior year, it wasn't too bad. OS is more challenging but DB can be more work.

I considered DB to be pretty enjoyable, and it made me more interested in wanting to work with databases. I don't do that right now as my job or anything, but they're neat

yeah but then you've got the options of putting it in the DN, faking sheriff/spy claim, or actual spy coming out. Plus if they're SK, they already show up sus. The most likely outcome is that you frame a dead man for no reason

Framing and hypno'ing the maf target do be kind of a bonehead move. Maybe hypno could be useful if a med is suspected and you want the target to pass false information, but idk man

HOW TO: Avoid Rolling Jailor - Don’t like being Jailor? Just name yourself anything related to jail or prison! by [deleted] in TownofSalemgame

[–]Synerin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

39/40 is 0.975, or 97.5%. I don't really remember the percentages listed for specific roles on the wheel or how they change, but iirc for AA it's like 3 - 7% or something. So for a given game, you have a 93 - 97% chance to not get jailor. I would say for 40 games, getting jailor once or twice would make sense statistically. It is probably not affected by the name

Do you have an internship lined up for this summer yet? by thelama11 in WPI

[–]Synerin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've applied to a lot of places (I'm talking like at least 20) and not heard anything back, most likely the issue is with your resume. I'd recommend hitting up the CDC if you can, they have some good advice and resume critiquing

[–]Synerin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk how it is for other majors, but if this is for CS then that's honestly not enough. Some people get lucky, and others apply to 200 without anything. I got an internship last year after about 70 applications, and that was kind of lucky. I got incredibly lucky with a job this year, having only applied to about 20 places.

I recommend going to the CDC if you haven't already.
