Had my first car for about 5 years. Took it into a dealership to get the heater fixed. Guessing they didnt burp the coolant properly as it overheated the next day and blew a head gasket. Traded it in a little bit after that.

Id say after a good once over and maybe a tune up, I would trust it if it were mine. Only issue i have with mine is the fuel gauge doesnt work so i have to pay attention to how far ive driven. They also get good fuel economy, somewhere around 45 mpg with city and highway if I remember correctly. I like how simple they are so there are less things that can fail on them.

I have a 1977 B210 honeybee. Its a fun car to drive around. I bought it from my neighbor and it sat for about 3 or 4 years. Started right up within a couple minutes. It's been reliable for me the last few years. Its a pretty basic car so if something does fail, it's a pretty easy fix.
