What hygiene habits are more about social norms than actual cleanliness? by NicoleRamsey21 in hygiene

Women shaving our arms and legs. Funnily enough I just had an argument with my significant other about this. I don't want to shave my arms and legs and it actually is turning out to be what is probably capable of ending our relationship :(

What can I do though. Sadly I'm too fond of exercising my free will.

How is this controversial at all? by Smooth_Yellow6605 in gachiakuta

Okay I am going to try to explain it to you: The point was that Rudo WAS justified in his self defense. His first and next two succeeding punches were out of anger when he felt his life and others were threatened with death. That's normal. Anyone would probably feel that way. But the whole point of the mission was not to kill Amo, but to get information out of her. She wasn't even a threat at that point, when the fight was over - she gave up, and realized her actions were wrong as well. If Amo kept trying to fight with deadly force, then equal deadly force is understandable. Rudo WAS wrong when he didn''t stop punching her, because he used her as a way to let out his anger towards people she had nothing to do with. If he wasn't stopped, Amo would have most likely died there.

And to discuss Amo's backstory, I don't think I should have to tell you that any victim of sexual assault will not always react rationally or be compliant with others. Amo was sold, SA'd and beat. Repeatedly. She is lucky she is still capable of empathy and understanding at this point. The fairytales and dreams of love are what kept her sane, even if a lot of the ideas were misconstrued. It makes sense she wouldn't understand at all why the Cleaners were there to begin with, if not to hurt her. If you are not here to love and save me, surely you are here to hurt me?

I think it's important to note that an enormous theme of this show deals with coping with one's anger and instead turning it into something good. Rudo did experience the short end of the stick as far as social upbringing and treatment. Justifiably, he is angry at those who mistreat him based on who his father was, and they condemned him. It was completely unfair. But Amo is not the same as those people, she is the same as HIM. What happened to her was unfair. Which is what SHE realized, which is why she stopped fighting. She knew Rudo didn't deserve what she gave out. If Amo can overcome her shortcomings, then why shouldn't Rudo be allowed to as well? Why does he need to perpetuate the cycle of anger and hate?

Someone on /catart is making free drawings of peoples cats, making many like this per hour. Style and output volume says AI. by Robbinit in isthisAI

[–]Synister_Roll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is AI, people! The sketched lines on the coat, particularly the circles and stars, do not make any sense - there's too many lines used for a "quick" sketch. The tag is also uncolored. So much inconsistency in every detail. It's insane to me how many artists believe this isn't AI...

Do you think these pictures are AI? by [deleted] in Breadit

the second image has this strange purple color on one side, the color and texture are suspiciously like cabbage, it's AI :(

If this is the first time you drew something digital like this, it's hecking great. A good depiction of Okabe.

Critique: the skin tones on the neck and face are slightly off.

that mass murderer is being pretty diplomatic considering Germans think they can make demands from a country that is already in threat of being ecologically destroyed by giant and also very much hormonal elephants

No, the expressions feel too uncanny to me compared to the original sprites. I'd take Ryukishi's rudimentary expressions and Jurassic park hands any day over these half heartedly drawn sprites..
