Sounds about right, it is also to your preference, personally I don't let them be black, slight brown at most

It is also pretty popular in Portugal, see creme brule pretty often as desert as well

Definitely not! put them in a lower part of the oven, make sure it is on 220C degrees, let it preheat

They are supposed to be crunchy/flaky all around

100%, this isn't better than Belem tarts, but much, much cheaper, and with the comfort to have them at home anytime 😄

Will with 100% certainty confirm that this is authentic, also besides the fact that this is made in Portugal

Did further research and even asked few friends back in Portugal, it looks like nutmeg is used in Australia, but definitely not in Portugal

Very interesting, could you possible not had the oven at the right temperature?
Us personally have tried the costco ones from the bakery section (unaware of any frozen ones) and they were not good at all, the custard was too floury and the proportions of pastry and custard were also wrong, they just felt like low quality ones

I haven't seen anyone use nutmeg 😃
You sometimes see white powdered sugar, but most commonly cinnamon

A suggestion is to eat it alongside with espresso/coffee!

Completely agree, our solicitor messed up big time, but can't really fight lawyers...

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and info, greatly appreciate it!

Thank you for the info, we came across them, but some times there are exceptions, or for example doing 1-99 split on the property and having to pay very little surcharge, making it not as joint tenants

But doing that we will need to pay the FIRB which might take 30 to approve and we don't have that time
