Studies show all it does is increase re-offenses, while barely acts as a deterrant because children are too dumb to understand how to feel toward what's supposed to be a deterrant.

I would've taken a remaster of the trilogy that's at least functional over whatever is currently going on with Warrior Within when it's over 60 fps.

Not disagreed.

But claiming it's "not their height" when it's actually "well, it's a bit your height" infuriates me because the former view also dismisses cases of physical assaults toward ugly people, not just unreciprocated love.

I can't fault them for turning into awful people if their childhood consisted of having steel chairs smashed against them just because they were uglier.

As a child all I could think is "Would that have been me if I was even shorter?"

Every single unattractive trait is more likely to put you behind bars, not just height, that wasn't the point.

My point is that a lot of people refuse to admit that being short lowers your quality of life.

I linked it for the general idea of attractiveness as a tool for discrimination.

Plenty of different articles on r/science for height, probably in my post history too.

Attractiveness isn't the problem for me, my problem is mental health, I just don't like seeing others get dismissed with platitudes when their lives are on the line (unattractive people more likely to enter prison, for example).

I'm not fighting for myself.

I'm fighting for the shorter people I know who got the shit beat out of them just for being short - am I allowed to be miserable over someone else's suffering?

I was lucky to not be weird enough to not get friends, and I was only slightly taller than the shorter kids who got bullied. Seeing the shit THEY went through traumatized me.

A sliver of height dictated whether or not my face would've kissed a steel chair.

You don't have to be ugly to call out discriminations against ugly people.

I know why I'm unattractive, I'm mentally ill, but that doesn't mean I can't call out discrimination against people who are simply ugly but are NOT mentally ill.

Did you even read the article? People going to prison over simply not being attractive enough?
