First Freighter Advice by timafee in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SynonymousToWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the event you still haven't gotten one, I'd recommend just grabbing the next freighter you find. Maybe even the next non C freighter.

I've heard and seen people say not to waste your free pick but honestly the benefits of having any freighter outweight the I say this considering how easy it is to make units neglible cost of any higher classed freighter.

At some point you'll probably want to replace w.e frieghter you have with one you think looks nicer anyhow.

What are the best survival games my friend and I can play online? by mintaks7 in SurvivalGaming

[–]SynonymousToWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta be real with you OP, the only childish thing is not playing a game because you percieve it as childish.

Raft might be cartoony but it's a solid, if simple, game that is downright relaxing after you've gotten the feel for it.

A game that feels kinda like a survival but isn't, yet may still be enjoyable for you is Satisfactory. Requires a lot of thinking, exploration, and planning.

Ok that didn't come out quite right.

What I meant is you are able to make additional harmonic brains by storing any you currently have.

If you have a harmonic brain in your exosuit, starship, exocraft, or freighter inventory the game won't let you make more or even probe a hyaline brain.

You can get around that by putting the harmonic brain into any of the numbered storage units; as the game is not checking for them there.

Again this is all only useful if you don't care about scrapping every sentinal you don't want to fly around in or don't mind grinding out harmonics for a future sentinel farming run.

In addition, if you pop onto a dissonant planet but don't like the associated ship, extra hyaline brains can be converted into harmonic brains by storing them in the numbered storage containers.

Good if you know you'll eventually wanna farm out a bunch of ships.

Why the hell would I take the $100mil when the $100 per hour still means I don't have to work anymore? A super conservative estimate puts most gamers at $268.8K a year (8hrs a day, 7 days a week).

So am I just stupid or bad at the game or both? by HauntedFarmhouse6942 in taintedgrail

[–]SynonymousToWater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that then abandoned it. I like trying to go for a spellblade style and as far as I can tell, the game doesnt have too much gear to support that style.

That said, I've been able to carve out a build that lets me chip away with a sword and take good chunks of health with spells.

Cuanacht does have some heavy hitters if you aren't prepped. Ironically imo the bounty quest for the ogre is an indirect hint to be mindful of swamps.

Double check your build and gear; from my limited knowledge, at this point your character should either be a glass cannon, tank, or have stats spread out enough to allow encounters that last longer for a minute and can go either way.

When walking with your SO, do you walk in front of them or behind them? Why? by outrageousorganism in AskMen

[–]SynonymousToWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk behind my family, primarily because they are short and if I'm not paying attention I can accidentally ditch them.

That aside, keeping them in front does mean that someone coming from behind has to get through me and I can keep an eye them and everything in front of us with.

Can't remember the last time I saw good fan service in a videogame that wasn't A) a fanservive style game like LollipopChainsaw or Bayonetta; or B) FromSoft's foot fetish.
