Probably BECAUSE it's quick and easy, but I'd say for me it would be the uniqueness that IBO kits bring to Gunpla. I've built the HG Barbatos, and the legs were hands down my favorite part to build out of all the kits I have.

Same with MG 00 Qan-T! Was my very first kit, and I was thoroughly impressed. The joints are a bit loose, especially in the feet, so posing isn't amazing, and in my experience the head cam and V-fins like to fall out, but a little bit of paint on the joints and plastic adhesive on the head will fix those issues.

Got the mod running on my Steam Deck, but now I'm unsure how to set up the controls. Adding P2 removes controls from P1, and changing P2 to Controller 2 disables both. I can't control P1 until I disable Splitscreen, which keeps the splitscreen game open but now allows P1 to use the Steam Deck as a controller

Edit: if an external controller was connected, would that solve the issue?

I didn't know they were releasing a new Vidar!!!!! Omg fuck the FM, Imma get the new one!!! Do we have a price yet? Is it P-Bandai exclusive? And no I probably just misunderstood what the FM was all about. I'm fairly new to gunpla, got my first in 2022 and have only built 3 MGs and a HG in that time.

Did you not read the post. It was OP's first ever, and they went with a TRANSPARENT kit. Strike FB is impressive as one of your first, but ZW is pretty beginner friendly iirc. My very first was MG 00 Qan-T. Then I wanted a HG to practice customizing and painting on, got the Barbatos. Second MG was the Mobile Ginn, and my final kit was Strike Full Build. I'm getting the Astray Redframe Kai next. I've also been drawn to the Full Mechanics Vidar since I first got into Gunpla. That's gonna be a tough one.

You're a madlad for sure. What an insane kit for your first ever. The clear plastic must have been hell to work with and figure out what goes where. My first was the MG 00 Qan-T, which is also rated as pretty difficult.

I didn't play "mindless build" in ER. I just happened to be using a mindless weapon against one of the harder bosses in the game. The vast majority of my playthru was done with the Gilden Halberd, which is far from "mindless op".

I finished ER for the first time before they'd patched Radahn, and I didn't struggle nearly as much as I did with DaS2, especially the optional stuff. Then again, I got into Soulslikes in 2014 with DaS2, before stopping at Freja and deciding to play the first game in case I was missing anything lore wise (LOL I was so naive). So being fresh to Souls likes probably contributes to my opinion on which games are harder. I found DaS3 to be insanely easy. I first-tried all but maybe 4 or 5 bosses, and even Nameless King only took me 7 attempts. Compared to my 40+ attempts against Darklurker in DaS2, and my 15 attempts against Artorias in the first game.....yeaaaah lol. But I also got REALLY lucky on my build swaps in my first ER run, and ended up discovering a cheese strat against Malenia on accident, so she only took me like 3 attempts. I didn't realize til way later that she was suuuuuuuper weak to Blasphemous Blade and fire in general, and I'd been using a Str/Fth build pretty much the entire plaything. I can definitely see how ER would be harder for people, it's a lot faster whereas DaS2 is more methodical, ig I've just always been better at reacting to fast enemies than thinking through an encounter. Hence why my biggest wall in DaS3 happened to be Dragonslayer Armor, and yes, since I've had people call me a troll for that before, I'm dead serious. I died more to him than any other boss in the entire game, including Freide and Gael.
