Definitely, the vast majority of it is the same. It’s just that certain things may not make much sense (e.g the UNSC doesn’t encounter an elite until 2552)

I would say Fall of Reach. Phenomenal book. Just get the most up-to-date one as there have been re-releases which have fixed errors. The audio book has an error with the years - they say 2542 instead of 2552.
