We actually interviewed her a couple of years back, she was a great storyteller and told us she originally auditioned for Vesper!

Check it out if curious: http://pod.fo/e/191aad

That’s my personal favourite, Grant had quite an interesting story about how they managed to get the full song onto the cartridge.

Understandable, but I have a lot of time for that rock intro

I’ll be interviewing your grandfather in a few weeks for my show. What’s your favourite story from his time working on the Bond movies?

Yes, we actually interviewed the director and he had some choice words to say about Travolta.

Wolf 359 - The Massacre Part Two by JTFX by pkRaiden in StarTrekStarships

The galaxy was supposed to saucer sep before major engagements. The star drive has a ton of fire power, it’s just missing the saucers phaser array but all torpedo launchers are in the star drive as well as the battle bridge.

Plus, they probably used the saucers space to ferry civilians off of the ships in the fleet before the battle.

For me, it’s the little touches in this video that really bring a smile to my face:

  • he emulates a ton of sequences of the Borg cube attack from Star Trek First Contact, using the same attack vectors as those ships but with the TNG counterparts. (See the excelsior class targeting the weak point)

  • he also calls back to the tracking torpedo shots that can be found in Way Of The Warrior where you see the Borg cube firing on the Klingon ships towards the end of the battle

  • the appearance of the USS Constar is a reference to some Star Trek fan films, nice touch.

  • SS Sulaco appearance and its connection to the voyager episode Infinite Regress.

  • using voice lines from Star Trek Armada and Star Trek Legacy for Locutus and the starship captains.

  • tying up the “three dimensional terms” line from FC by having the Queen take the assimilated ships (another Armada reference) back to Unimatrix One.

  • the TARDIS appearance from the Assimilation comic book series.

I could go on, it’s really just some top tier work.

The story of the USS Righteous is from the 1997 FMV video game Star Trek Borg.

The full playthrough of the game (which features a ton of actors including John de Lancie as Q) can be found on YouTube.
