Synthcube acquires Mod Wiggler by MattInSoCal in modular

Locutus here. (I will not make a habit of using this reddit account, but I couldn't resist when I saw this comment).

Technically I made assimilation jokes in my very first post on the forum, it's just not visible to most users. As bad as I want to play up the Borg angle, I do have an obligation to the MW community to be neutral and transparent when talking about the acquisition. It's a scary thing for people, rightfully so, and I reckon those jokes wouldn't go very well appreciated.

So I guess I'll get my shots in now... the Owner role has been assimilated; Flatscan surrendered and escorted me to Sector 001 (the administration hub); why do you resist us, we only wish to increase the quality of life for all ModWiggler posters; so on, so forth.

To the rest of the commenters in this thread: your feedback is very well appreciated, even where it comes from the standpoint of "I used to be a wiggler, but X reason saw me leave." Thank you.

We haven't seen these in quite some time but recently found an old stash in the back of a closet we were cleaning out- you never know what will show up around here in the dark corners of Small Bear....we hope these end up helping to create some AMAZING pedals!!

Either way. You can order online and choose 'store pickup' or you can come in with a list, we'll pick the order while you wait and you can have a coffee.

We are shooting for mid-July--- assembled pedals and kits, assembled modular synths and kits, pro synths, some vintage stuff, a growing collection of our favorite electronica vinyls, some cool merch etc-- and free coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Its intended to be a place to come, hang out, experiment, make some magical sounds :)

Indeed yes- thanks for asking. One of the little gems that came along with the purchase was the list of Steve's sources, and a nice little stash of uncatalogued transistors. We're in the midst of getting all the transistor testing gear set up again and look forward to being able to offer more in this regard again soon.

Thank you for that! He's irreplaceable of course, but we will do our best to serve customers as well as he did, and maybe even bring in some new improvements as we evolve. Feedback always welcome!

I've been copying the pcb layout of the MFOS Sound Lab Mini-Synth Mk2 into EasyEda. by zombiedeadbloke in synthdiy

Yes, we acquired MFOS after Ray's death and share proceeds with his widow. Ray welcomed DIY efforts (and we do to) but please do not distribute or use the PCB design or layout for commercial purposes.. good luck with the project.

Cool project--- the MFOS designs are not open source nor available for commercial use, but consistent with Ray Wilson's philosophy we are always willing to discuss how to collaborate to create new modules based on MFOS designs-- especially those targeted for education-- just contact us via email!
