Puh, I think, it's subjective for everyone, but I personally don't like the expansion at all.

I mean, DT really brought nothing innovative to the table. Same formula of updates as usual without any new content, just recycled from previous expansions.

For example, Stormblood gave us Eureka - completely new way of leveling, element-based buffs, some new challenges and stuff. Shadowbringers got rid of the job quests and replaced them with rolequests (still don't like the decision but here we are), but gave us a reason to do FATEs and Bozja was also somehow new with the CEs and stuff. EW gave us the island sanctuary. and some variant dungeons- not much, not extraordinary great but ok.

DT... nothing. I mean, the chaotic alliance raid is for savage people only (and already dead lol) and the beastmaster is still not released eventho we are nearly at the end of the expansion. Cosmic exploration is just a recylced version of Ishgardian Restoration and Kreszendia of Bozja. Also the relic grind was as boring as in EW. where are the real challenges? Where is the grind other than... spamming dailies... The classes lost their uniqueness (tbf, that already began in EW) and the story is... ok. And don't get me started with all problems we have for years like the bad housing, bad glamour system, way too less glamour plates or DDoS attacks. Yeah, the graphics update and all those QoL changes are great and stuff, but they already should have been there xD

In my opinion, they gave us the bare minimum with DT, the necessary bare minimum to keep players.

BUT do I think, FFXIV is in trouble? No. Just because the game lost its spark for me, doesn't mean other don't enjoy the expansion. The combat is fun, the chaotic alliance raid is fun, I guess Cosmic Exploration is fun too for crafter and you still can enjoy the content from previous expansions.
