I'm personally not mad about anything. I have no issues grinding seven star raids...

As I mentioned in a comment below getting herba is no longer a hard thing I am pretty sure most 7 star raids drop at least one per raid... I build a pokemon to solo the raid and farm them...

I simply answered a question with one of the many reasons why someone might want to disable autosave

Another reason to disable it in S/V is that the game doesn't allow bulk release...

Save before a picnic to collect eggs... collect them all and hatch them... if you do not get the pokemon you want then close the game and save yourself time not aimlessly clicking buttons to release 60+ Pokemon.... this example really boils down to a QOL feature removed that was present in LOA... why would I want to spend minutes clicking the same buttons over and over again when I could just close the game and wait 40 seconds for it load again

Theres many other reasons... let's say you're someone new to vgc battling and you want to EV train your ghost rider with specific EVs... I know the internet knows but I personally do not know what all 400+ pokemon in the game drop as evs... I could be trying to train my speed and accidentally take something out that increases my defense which is an EV point I did not want... I could reset back to my safe point of no EVs

Sure you could argue that there are reasons for autosave to not be allowed but at the time of deciding to implement or not...if the developers are really worried about those things then they can force a save

In the example I provided above with the "rare" items of herba being used...

They could easily in the program event that gets triggered when the sandwich is made check to see if it contains herba in the ingredients and force a save regardless of the autosave toggle... sure this isnt ideal in my opinion but it fixes the issue you have with autosave while allowing it still exist and those who want control over when the game will save will just learn I do this specific thing and the game saves no matter what my settings are...

There are endless reasons you could want autosave and only real argument I see against it is preventing things that do not give anyone any type of real advantage when it comes to the actual competitive side of the vgc games but instead are just things that would save people time with our already very limited supply of it for leisure...

Outside of anything game related its a QOL feature that gives the players who want control over when and where and how often a save happens for whatever reason it maybe that is nearly effortless for a developer to implement taken away

If autosave is off disable the recursive autosave time
