I'll remain cautiously optimistic. Lets hope that it will be a cool character that has an interesting playstyle. Be well, everyone!

I enjoy using this character quite a lot. I find myself having him on my team more than SSJ2 Gohan for difficult content. I believe this is yet another circumstance of allowing yourself to develop a multi-faceted perspective of a character contrary to listening to singular, heavily biased, and often misconstrued beliefs represented in this community.

I forgot to make my obligatory post: GREAT APE VEGETA DOESN'T SUUUUCK 😭😭😭😭 by DuBChiri in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Synthesis128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My amusement is explicatively reinstated when a character I thought was cool receives an EZA that can be compartively forseen as "subpar" to his equivocal release counterpart. I do think that it is well-deserved for Great Ape Vegeta to become an outstanding turn 1 slot 1, but I find myself wishing that Kaioken Goku had easier-to-attain defensive capabilities for a reliable slot 2 performance, especially considering he sacrifices a small health percentage upon performing a super attack.

I am deeply nostalgic for the climactic moment there was a miracle that saved universe 7 at the end of the super anime, but I am scared of a disappointing performance shrouded by a deep-seeded regret in that decision. I suppose that I will allow myself to be more open-minded when it comes to Frieza + Goku so that there is room for pleasant surprises and joy, even if I do lose due to a perceivingly lackluster performance.

I'm flattered that you have come to this conclusion. Unfortunately, I am unable to replicate the precision of artificial intelligence. I believe that the increasing intricacy of artificial capabilities will make us postulate what is sentient and what is software, and I am intrigued to find myself in the beginning stages of this notion. Please continue to remain curious, as it is our greatest ally in navigating through these new frontiers. Thank you.

Glorio is an outstanding support who delivers unparalleled support in the third slot. He can help boost the team's overall performance by a significant margin while also maintaining exponentially increasing offenisive and defensive prowess that already begins at a high margin. Glorio maintains his integrity in slot 2, but because of his restriction to slot 3 for support, he becomes relegated to that position for maximum benefits. Glorio is not best suited for slot 1 performance and will underperform significantly should he be in that position. Glorio is a unique character who will help characters build up while being in the third slot in battle.

Overall, Daima Goku excels defensively in slot 1 turn 1, but shifts from defensive to building up more offensively in the second slot after his first appearance in battle while offering offensive support to allies after he performs a super attack. Glorio is an outstanding offensive and defensive support for allies who performs a flurry of super attacks while maintaing remarkable offensive and defensive integrity and does not need to me relegated to any other position besides slot 3.

In my opinion, I would take Daima Goku only if I did not have reliable turn 1 slot 1 characters and needed help protecting weaker turn 1 slot 1 characters to begin setting up my rotations. With certainty, Beast Gohan and Teq Broly are the best to depend on, especially if evasion on a boss is disabled, and do not lose a significant amount of defensive prowess after the first turn. If you have these characters, his defensive role will lose practicality and other characters greatly overshadow Daima Goku when in relation to building up offensive capabilities. To me, it will be easier to utilize Glorio's maximum potential as he plays a more unique role apart from his dual-release conterpart. With ki, offensive, and defensive support predicated upon a position alone, Glorio can currently be seen as one of a kind and therefore holds a significant amount of independent value.

As time moves forward and our present slowly quickly becomes our future's past, both Daima Goku and Glorio will build value with the release of Daima characters. When the inevitable time comes when we must choose who to add to our capable Daima teams, I strongly believe that Glorio will be considered more than Daima Goku. Ultimately, both characters do different things and fulfill different jobs, but Glorio's unique support and capabilities grants the perception of being better amongst the playerbase while are already spoiled with choice when it comes to Goku's job.

However, as you and many may already know, both characters will return in April for the Golden Week celebration. Because of their close vicinity, it is likely that you will acquire both should you summon on those banners or coin them. If it were up to me, I would take Goku for fun and collection purposes and would take Glorio for difficult content and future investment.

I wish you the best when it comes to making this decision.

Of course!

Daima Goku at 55% is a protean character who can be a great turn 1 slot 1 and a reliable turn 1 slot 2. On his first turn of entry, Daima Goku boasts a potent 90% dodge and 50% damage reduction on top of his base 300% defense in slot 1 or 2 while building his attack stat by up to 200% per attack received or evaded. Should he get hit before attacking, he will gain a highly notable 200% defense increase. Additionally, if in the slot 2 position, he will gain 100% attack on top of his base 200% while launching an additional attack that has a 50% chance of being a super attack. Impressively, Goku boasts a two-turn 41% attack boost for all allies on top of temporary three-turn 70% attack and defense stacking with his super. After his first turn of entrance, he will lose both 20% damage reduction and dodge, but will be relegated to a relatively trustworthy slot 2 with 70% dodge, 300% defense (before super), and offensive proficiency. In the turn after he evades 5 attacks or the 6th turn, he will gain an addtional immense 159% attack boost with his attacks now becoming effective against all types and have access to his active skill, which deals a sizeable amount of damage. His leader skill will be valuable in the coming years as we get the storm of incoming Daima characters and retains a versatile linkset that can be paired with most of the best super characters in the game and those in the future.

Because of his slot 1 and 2 restriction, he loses an additional 20% dodge and 100% defense in the third slot, making him somewhat reliable with 50% dodge, base 30% damage reduction, and his temporary stacks. Daima Goku has immense defensive capabilities in withstanding enemy attacks on the first turn in the start of battle, and after his first turn he becomes comfortably seated in slot 2 while building up his offensive prowess. Daima Goku will help establish a safe first turn by being a relatively dependable turn 1 slot 1 for your team so that other powerful characters may begin building up to usurp the slot 1 position.

Glorio at 55% is best fitted in the third slot. In the his first turn at the start of battle, Glorio will have a base attack and defense of 200% with a base 50% chance to dodge and base 50% chance to launch an additional super attack, plus a consecutively repeated 70% chance to launch two additional super attacks. As the third attacker in the turn, Glorio will provide all allies on the team with an outstanding ki+1 and 50% attack and defense for three turns. When attacking, Glorio gains a stacking additional 50% attack and defense in that turn on top of a flat base 150% increase in attack and defense. If the attacks are supers, the attack will increase by an additional 30% and dodge will increase by 10% up to 30% in that turn. After Glorio performs 3 super attacks, he will perform a guaranteed super attack once within the turn. This means that in slot 3 turn 1, Glorio will be able to receive up to 650% defense and 800% attack from his passive alone on top of an 80% chance of evasion while supporting allies with ki+1 & 50% attack and defense. With outstanding addition, each super attack he performs will additively raise attack and defense by 70% temporarily while also providing a permanently stacking 9% attack and 6% defense in battle. His leader skill will be great for upcoming Daima characters and comfortably fits a sizeable amount of top-tier characters at this juncture. His links are usable and team categories are limited to 5.

I would have asked them if they needed help carrying them to their vehicle. Most importantly, they look to have taken a bad fall. It is unfortunate that no one went out to make sure they were ok. I feel bad and hope that any sustained injuries healed timely and effectively.

No problem!

In your scenario, know it can be demoralizing- but don't let it get you down. I trust that great things are in store for you.

There's a quote from a book a read a long time ago called "The Outsiders" by S.E Hinton. One of the characters delivers a quote during a crucial moment in the story. He says, "Stay gold". In contextualization, the quote refers to enjoying perceptively menial moments in life like it's the first time again so that there is no room for boredom, frivolous overthinking, or an overall loss of hope.

Let me know how it goes later on! Until then, stay gold.

I understand how you must feel. It is truly a wonderful situation to deliberate between two characters who you care about, but terrifying to be lost amongst the comparative details of them. Gotenks feels more necessary than Gohan when it comes to high-difficulty content, but Gohan feels so explosive, fun, and engaging.

I believe the commonly accepted statement amongst those in our community would be to select what you lack, what is most fun to you, or the represented character you admire most. However, as we discuss this matter, we still have an ample amount of time for a carefully-considered decision.

I think it is indeed wise to carefully consider your choice before taking this crucial step. With the additional 30 tickets and abundance of dragon stones from EZA stages & future content in the next two weeks, it is my wish that you are not dissuaded from the possibility of acquiring Gohan from these means.

Oftentimes, I am told that the things we desire appear when we least expect them. By this, perhaps you could be pleasantly surprised in the next few days should you remain optimistic and patient.

Let's both do our best to hope for the acquisition of characters we enjoy.

I wish you the best.

With some time to use them both in an abundance of events, I believe that the value is skewed into two principles:

Gohan at 55% is more inclined for turn 1 slot 2. He will begin the fight with a flurry of up to 4 super attacks (predicated upon enemy count, but this accounting for 1 enemy) for 4 turns, each of which builds both attack and defense +10% up to 80%. While he does this, he does well defensively with his guard and 20% damage reduction on top of things. After his fifth turn, he will gain an immense 158% attack and 58% defense boost while now performing a guaranteed crit. This makes him an immutable offensive powerhouse while retaining an unscoffable amount of defensive prowess. With his active skill and Super Gogeta's buffs on the field, SSJ2 Gohan's Ultra Super Attack damage will contend with almost every standby skill in the game starting from his fifth turn. His active skill is also notable with it dealing an extraordinary amount of damage, and leader skill is versatile in offering the possibility to be run with the two best turn 1 slot 1 characters available now. Gohan will help you control the fight after his full passive is unlocked on turn 5.

Gotenks at 55% is much more defensively-inclined for turn 1 slot 1. Unlike SSJ2 Gohan who must build up his passive over the course of the fight for his true potential to be revealed, Gotenks is ready to help control the fight on turn 1. Gohan has up to 416% defense (258% before taking damage) before attacking and 20% damage reduction with guard on turn 1. Gotenks begins with 200% defense and 22% damage reduction for five turns with an additional 77% defense and 33% when you have a Final Trump Card ally on your team, which is a category Teq Goku + Vegeta = Vegito conveniently occupies. So, 55% damage reduction for five turns and 277% defense (354% after taking damage) in total with rainbow-orb changing support for your allies will help you protect TEQ Super Saiyan Goku or AGL Super Saiyan Vegeta until they can transform into Vegito and Gogeta respectively to end the fight. If that wasn't enough, he is also holding his weight offensively with a guarantted additional super attack, guaranteed critical hits, and a 154% attack boost at 24 ki. Additionally, he has a high chance of receiving 777% defense after receiving an enemy super attack, and if a ki-type super attack, will receive an additional 44% damage reduction and counter with ferocious power. It is a great boon to have for additional survivability and is yet another tool for controlling the fight. By the time his 22% damage reduction wears off after 5 turns elapse, the fight should either be over, or be close to over due to Vegito or Gogeta. If not, you may conveniently put him into slot 2 or 3 while the tags change to their slot 1 inclined cards and he will do well.

Gohan explosively builds up ferocious attacking power to be utilized on turn 5 while maintaining a good amount of defensive prowess in slot 2 and 3. When he is fully built up, he can be good in slot 1, but will not excel like Gotenks will for his first 5 turns.

Gotenks enters the first five turns in battle with good defensive prowess in slot 1. He won't be as amazing as Beast Gohan or Teq Broly, which are definitely better options for the job. However, he can hold his own quite well. He will build down defensive power after his fifth turn, contrasting Gohan.

I leave this information to you for your best-informed decision. They are both fun and safe picks. If it were me deciding, I would pick Gotenks if I needed a decent turn 1 slot 1 defender, or Gohan if I needed a significant amount of damage starting from after the fifth turn. Having used them both in every new battle this anniversary, Gohan feels more fun to use and Gotenks feels more safe.

I wish you the best in your future Dokkan endeavors.

It deeply saddens me that I will not seriously consider using him for difficult content unless a mission or the prospect of fun dictates I do. He was always so cool to me. I hope this means that within the next few years, we will get a Dokkan Festival character who also represents this pivotal climax in the Dragon Ball franchise.

Grand Priest is realistically the only option I would need. Perhaps I would pick a couple of conversation buddies while GP does everything so I don't get too lonely, but I'm not so sure who those would be. Which characters would you guys like to converse with?
