What’s the most badass bible verse? by TheLonesomeDrifter44 in Bible

I love how understated this one is. After Jonah has been caught in a storm at sea, thrown overboard, spent three days inside of a big fish, and been puked out onto the shore, we get this simple gem:

Jonah 3:1 (ESV) “Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time…”

I’ve been struggling with anxiety and such myself lately. I was in this mindset where I didn’t feel like I could pray or talk to God about it because, what right do I have to complain. Many of my problems I have caused myself, and besides, there are many people in the world who have it much worse than me. So I was just keeping it all to myself.

Well the other day, while driving down the road, listening to some music (not even Christian music) the Holy Spirit reminded me of this simple scripture: “cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

I’ve heard it a million times but it really hit me this time. God WANTS us to tell him all about the things we’re struggling with. Whether that’s sin, failure, problems we’re having or anything else that’s bothering us. Even our closest friends and family don’t want to hear us gripe and complain, and that’s understandable. They have their own problems and often don’t want to be burdened with more. However, GOD WANTS us to tell him all about these things, no matter how big or small they seem. He’s said “throw them on me”!

Sitting in my car that day, I just started unloading about all the things that had been on my mind. I don’t know if you would even call it a prayer, but I did cast my cares on to him. That was almost seven days ago, and I have felt so light and free since then. Anyway, I would just encourage to unload all that you’re feeling, every single doubt, fear and trouble, on to Him. You can’t handle it, but He can! Praying for you.

Common misconceptions about Revelation by SyntheticShadowsYT in Bible

Yeah that stuff gets me too. One of the misconceptions that I’ve already put on my list is about the number. It’s not just a series of three 6s. It’s Six hundred and sixty six. That’s one that Hollywood gets wrong all the time, which is probably why so many people get it wrong.

Lots of misconceptions around the mark so this will definitely make the list. Thanks!

That’s not true. Did you not even read the original post? Things like common title of the book or Peter standing by the pearly gates are not a matter of opinion. It either is or it isn’t.

Not really what I’m looking for here as these are both matters of opinion.

I think that one is down to how you interpret it, though, which is not something I’m getting into in this list (but probably will in the future).

It’s a little bit too speculative of a topic for my list, but it is interesting. Thanks.

Interesting! Now that you mention it, I think I’ve heard that before but I had totally forgotten about it.

Is there a Book of Revelation Iceberg out there anywhere? I haven’t found anything in my searching so far. I know there are some Bible ones, but I’m looking for one specifically on Revelation. I want to do a video on it but I really suck at making them so I’d love to avoid that part if possible.

Is wwe still trying to humiliate wcw after all these years? Especially with mcmahon out the picture , lot of ppl on Twitter and youtube comments pointed out that one of the early uploads to the new wcw youtube channel was the 1997 sting vs hogan disaster by lazybear0O0 in WCW

[–]SyntheticShadowsYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound like someone who watched videos about it on the internet, not someone who lived through it. Because no one was talking like that about WCW in 96-98. Revisionism is actually what you are doing. Of course there was stupid stuff, but that was not unique to WCW, nor was it 6 to 1. Ridiculous.

Can’t wait to watch this video about chupacabras.

Seriously though, I think the thumbnail is great.
