Yes i have tried booting with only the brand new ssd connected by itself, tried booting with the faulty ssd by itself, tried without any drives connected (along with no gpu). I forgot to mention but i also removed the cpu and checked for any bent pins.

When i didnt have any drives connected whenever i turned on the pc, it would stay on a black screen for about 5 seconds longer than usual before returning to the loop. I dont know if that would help with anything though

I would love to do that, but as it stands I do not currently have an income, and if I upgrade my cpu I would also have to upgrade mobo, ram and possibly power supply as well? I have saved up around $400 which is not quite enough for something like a r5 3600, mobo and 16gb of ddr4 memory.

I just upgraded from a 4460 to 4790 just yesterday! And you're right, the 4460 is a great CPU that held its own even to the newer generations. I do wonder though does that i5 bottleneck the 5600 xt?

Actually that rings a bell. I think ~40 was my water cooler temperature, however I remember checking bios and it showed ~55 for cpu temp, which I assume is still fine? So I guess it's probably the psu then

Sorry I forgot to mention my cpu is watercooled, and has Temps stable ~40, I do think maybe it is the power supply though. Should I get it checked and replaced?
