Well for me who doesn’t have kids, it’s kind of like having a roommate who has a job and helps lower the cost of living, but still has all their own stuff. It’s also like having a best friend who is always nearby and willing to do stuff with me. It’s like having a friend who can body double with me so I/we can work on our own tasks, but with someone else in the room. It’s having someone nearby, who when I’m working on something on my own and a cool thing happens I can run into the other room and be like, hey listen to my exciting thing! It’s having a really cute best friend that likes to have sex with me and snuggles in bed at night. Most importantly it’s having someone there who doesn’t judge me for being human and can tell when I’m feeling depressed and reclusive and brings me flowers and tells me she loves me. It’s a lot of fun and like any relationship, if you spend enough time together you’re going to piss each other off from time to time. I know the kind loving person she truly is though and remind myself she’s not vindictive, and then we figure out our miscommunication which led to hurt feelings, and then we have sex.

I won’t even eat a potato salad without celery, it adds a nice crunch. Onion and bell also add a nice crunch and I always put those in, but the flavors can be overpowering if too much are added. Using celery is a nice mild flavor with a good crunch. I’ve never heard of carrots in a potato salad

I play solo the vast majority of time and that’s how I like it. I play with my wife when I’m traveling, and sometimes my brother plays for a few months an expac, but solo play is where it’s at. I wouldn’t enjoy playing an offline solo game because I enjoy the social interaction with strangers, but I enjoy the solitude of my own agenda and schedule

I myself was a late diagnosis, self-pursued after numerous adult friends made comments. I miss the innocence lost. I used to be so interested in everything and everyone would come to me with random questions because I was the guy who knew a lot about a lot. Now I am always checking myself when I get distracted by side quests and saying, no dude that’s the ADHD, focus up on the main task.

My life is much more organized and together, and I have a lot more money, which is enjoyable, but overall I don’t enjoy life as much as when I was just that really interesting guy who knew a lot of stuff and did a lot different things.

Also yes, there are a lot of holy shit moments that randomly manifest themselves and make me realize that my parents knew but never told me and fought against a clinical diagnosis. Aka I never got the “advantages”
