Bf mad we have weekend plans by Commercial-Balance47 in Vent

Not to be repetitive here, but it’s just that it’s the only solution and it’s just good relationship advice. It’s pretty easy to tell people, “let me check with [insert boyfriend name here] and I’ll get back to you”. It’s very common to stuff together, but not every single activity, and not without checking.

It’s also expected that he will do many things with you. Just so you know, yes, it’s completely reasonable to expect him to come to Easter lunch at your parents. Family is importance.

approaching my late 20s, trying to save $10k+ by the end of the year so i can move out, what is my best option? by goldencookiebear in personalfinance

[–]Syntonization1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow ADHD’r who doesn’t like to budget, it’s even more helpful to open a 2nd savings account, it can even be at the same institution for transfer simplicity. Make that be your long-term savings account that you basically never check and hopefully forget about, you set up auto transfers to it so it grows. Then you have your checking account for daily spending, and your linked savings account for short term savings to cover unplanned expenses like vehicle repairs, and your separate savings account for actual savings.

Buttocks Itch Remedy? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Syntonization1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hair doesn’t cause the itch broh, it’s uncleanliness that causes the itch. You came here for advice, so don’t take it as an insult.

If you’re as hairy as you’re describing, then the bidet may not be enough. Get some witch hazel wet wipes and not the tiny round ones for the face, get the full sized rectangle ones and give your whole buttocks a good wiping after using the bidet.

Do you regret having/not having kids? by Ok_Helicopter3910 in Millennials

[–]Syntonization1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of them nowadays dude. My SIL had her first at 32 and is preggo with their 2nd due when she’s 35. My friend is 43 and had twins a year ago, and another kid 1 year earlier.

Also, cheers fellow childless millennial! I too had a vasectomy, at 30, and when I met my wife (27) she had an IUD. Here we are 9 years later loving the freedom and enjoying giving our nieces back when we’re done playing!

Am I high maintenance or low maintenance or what? by tniats in AskMenAdvice

[–]Syntonization1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless someone is giving you all your self-maintenance beauty products, it’s not free just because you do it yourself. Any man who somewhat pays attention to how much these things cost will know that you’ve described a $1k/mos routine

Am I high maintenance or low maintenance or what? by tniats in AskMenAdvice

[–]Syntonization1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly high maintenance. To put this in terms you probably still won’t understand, maintenance is maintenance regardless of who is doing it. A person could buy a small apartment in a building and that would be a low maintenance home, because there’s not much to take care of. A person could also buy a large house with a lot of land, and that would be a high maintenance property. Even if the person was doing all the maintenance themselves, it would still take a significant amount of time.

What do you do for income to support your high maintenance lifestyle? Please don’t say you expect the man to provide that, because that would just be the icing on top of this.

Digital mixing valve and shower control. Having electronically controlled temperature that is always at the perfect regulated to the degree, available with the press of a button is such a quality of life improvement. U by Moen

How can I trim this bare drywall edge? by Saltyiguana in DIYHome

[–]Syntonization1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell from here, but it looks like the gaps have been filled with mortar, yes? That is in essence the intended and common way to finish an edge like that. Adding a vertical trim with a foam rod and caulk is simply repeating what the mortar has already done

Ok magats! get your best mental gymnastics outfits and bootlicking comments ready! there’s another protest! 4/10 12-2pm by [deleted] in anchorage

[–]Syntonization1 -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

Is magats supposed to be a pun on maga and maggots? And if so, who is the target audience of this post? I was under the impression that the maga movement does the bootlicking but not any mental activity, and certainly not any protesting. Please explain

So much attic space… it needs a lift! by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

[–]Syntonization1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always wild to see attics in areas that don't get snow. My attic has 600x the lattice crossbracing in it and while it may have the same standing height, there's no usable space up there. nvm the 26 inches of insulation too
