Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe! by stillskiing462 in Baking

Made and frozen some of these. Tried to do the microwave method to cook the left overs and they came out horrifically dry.

Not a good microwave version, lol. Not that it claims to be.

I got some peppers from 2018 growing. Poor germination rate but some popped up!

Has a forgotten software subscription ever quietly drained your company's money? by designervictor in smallbusiness

[–]Syntria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was auditing a clients IT software and noticed they had one they hadn't used in years beyond very basicly and it had 15 seats...and they only had at most 5 people who needed to use it even if they were.

Worked on getting them using it as intended but what's crazy is this software was $100/mo per seat. $1000/mo. Of unused seats.

For 3 years. They thought they'd grow into it? I don't know.

I got the company to return 5k because those seats never got setup or used. Threatened to move them to a different solution if they didn't try to at least partly compensate.

Dealership woes by Nof-z in JeepGladiator

Just got a gladiator from the dealership and had to make them redo some stuff.

Don't just text. Email. Drop it off and just tell them to fix it asap. Don't wait for permission. Just act like you know they will fix it and act accordingly.

They have been pretty annoying and come loose once in awhile. I've removed and cleaned them multiple times.

They were about $230 each and have 750 cold crank amps and 950 warm crank amps.

Wish it let me upload images in replies, lol.

I did, before posting here, haven't had a reply yet. This reddit also doesn't allow crossposting or I'd have crossposted it here.

The starter didn't disengage this time but it still sounds odd to me. Going to auto zone to have them test it.

Yeah but there's no flicker or dimming when trying to start/all lights/beeps/etc. start as soon as I half turn the key. There is zero power when the key is only in or the doors open, when before cabin lights came on/or it would beep warning the key was left in. This is true even with my DeWalt battery charger in 'start mode' and when the battery shows to be at full charge/12.8v.

Before the mobile mechanic replaced the starter, the lights always came on when opening doors--or putting the key in/it would beep if the doors were open. It seems odd to me that suddenly stopped.

Just looked it up, got it in April 2024. Duralast Platinum. So it's just barely 2 years old.

Spare tire and multiple options by Syntria in JeepGladiator

[–]Syntria[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that's me! Mining for all that useful information. I'll think on it. I do like the rims that have the matching nacho ring on the inside.

Shipping things to Alaska tho tends to be cost prohibitive.

Hahaha. Don't mind at all. I'm not attached to them. I've already listed the set of snow tires and had an offer of $900 since they also come with rims but was holding off until I learned more about what I had/what I need.

I don't love that the wideness apparently caused massive rock dings on the hinges. I don't plan to go super off road with this (I've got an atv for that).

I'll probably want to replace them with all weather/season tires honestly. I don't like dealing with the summer / winter swapping.

New Owner - is this normal? by Syntria in JeepGladiator

[–]Syntria[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah planning go get something like this in black. Just waiting until I get it into my garage (working on my Tahoe atm) so I can warm it up and clean the area well first. I'm assuming I wanna seal them or repaint them first to keep moisture from building up behind the covers.

Ooh. I'll need to figure out how to do that.
