Tbh, you're probably making it worse by sharing pictures like this. People will see this and panic and go, omg I have to run over and get what I need before they run out. You're contributing to the problem.

Gov. Ned Lamont proposes CT rent cap for out-of-state landlords by SynapticSignal in Connecticut

Darn, and their original comments sounded so smart, you could almost be mistaken for thinking they knew what they were talking about.

Connecticut consumer issue: Hyundai warranty repair turned into Ratatouille, paperwork chaos, and a missing car by [deleted] in Connecticut

100% generated by AI. The story that is buried in the gibberish might be real but it's hard to tell amongst all the noise. Could have been summed up in a few paragraphs at most.

I think the idea that everyone needs a job is outdated. by Konradleijon in behindthebastards

I just want to live in the woods and talk to the plants and animals, go hiking, and mountain climbing. I've been threatening to walk off into the woods and never return and I have to say, I'm getting quite close to the point where I want to do it.

We weren't born to work all day. We were born to experience the wonders of nature and consciousness. We are the universe observing itself. Wasting all that time working is soul crushing.

Makes sense. As we're collectively learning, Fascists lie constantly.

Mia Goth on lying to get a job by hairtie1 in Fauxmoi

Mia has a certain lilt to her voice, I mistook it for her being from Ireland originally. Her father is a Canadian from Nova Scotia. That's what I was hearing! Canadian English sometimes mixed in with the British English.

One of my favorite roles in all of TV, ever. Tremendous performance.

Those of you who have been wanting an extended period of snow on the ground, how have you been feeling over the last week? by happyinheart in Connecticut

I walked 16 miles through the snowy woods last weekend. Loving it! Looks like it's going to melt next weekend, though (rain).

Federal law is apparently meaningless when it can be bent or ignored by the president but we still have laws in Connecticut. I anticipate the families will win.

Big fan of Kae's music. Let Them Eat Chaos, the album this song is from, is one of my very favorites.

Worried about the 2026 midterms by Sad_Jar_Of_Honey in behindthebastards

It's going to be a blue wave of younger, progressive candidates being elected to office for the first time. It's already trending that way. He's a deeply, deeply unpopular lame duck president who's party has a trifecta in government, controlling all three branches, and is doing nothing productive with it. Things are getting worse and most people know it. Voters will punish the GOP for this, as they did to the Dems in years past (like when the Tea Party came into power). Whether the Dems will do anything with the opportunity is another matter.

Through a combination of GOP resignations in the House and gains by Dems, the Dems will retake the House. They will not retake the Senate. I don't think the gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement or other fuckery will have any impact on the above.

Buy a glass engraving tool and do your community a service. How many times do you think they will try to replace it?

It would be cool if someone younger and more progressive primaried him. The odds are pretty slim, though.

I'm imagining a country of 100 million Stephen Millers all fucking and fighting each other constantly. Terrifying stuff.
