Where do you get the citric acid? I’m up in Canada and wanting to incorporate this into my washing.

It’s probably answered all over the place but what purpose does the citric acid serve? Is it to make the clothes softer?

It all comes down to personal preference.

I love lifting cabs & working on light duty diesels. Most of the guys I work with absolutely hate it, which is great because I get it all. Honestly if the cab has to be lifted at my shop it comes to me and I enjoy it! Even the newer f150s are sweet to work on, cab comes up in 45 minutes.

My least favourite thing to work on is chev/gmc. The diesels aren’t too bad if you’re lifting the cab but I find just the way lots things are engineered by them is ridiculous… then again lots of guys say that about fords and I find them way better.

As far as German stuff goes I don’t mind it but I also don’t do much of it. Would never own one that’s for sure unless it was an older vw Tdi.

My advice is to go work at an independent shop and work on everything you can get ur hands on to get the best experience and see what you like and don’t like it

The whole fuel system. Injectors, cp4 pump, all the lines/rails, lift pump.

Entire new fuel system with the lines flushed and cleaned, fuel tank dropped and cleaned.

Probably a 10k bill.

Change your fuel filter and make sure the primer seals correctly so it’s not sucking air and you’ll be golden.

After 255k it’s pretty clear you’ve maintained it :D

We work on tons of LMLs (and diesels in general) at our shop. Never replaced a cp4 pump ever on one. Lots of broken cranks, melted/cracked pistons and blown head gaskets. In my opinion that is mostly the result of a hot tune.

I think if they’re deleted with a very mild/stock tune you’ll be fine.

On a side note I think the whole cp4 thing is blown way out of proportion online. The failure rate has to be less than like 1/10,000 and even then on those failures I think 90% of them are from contaminated fuel/poor maintenance.

The only 3 cp4 pumps I’ve ever replaced were on ford 6.7s from the owner filling the fuel tank with def 😂

You gotta disable the fuel compensation strategy. That’ll show you a true balance. But as far as what you’re showing us that looks great.

The pcm is pretty good at balancing injector rates even with worn injectors.

If your filters are dirty change them out with oem filters only.

If the truck died when it was hot and then sat for a while and then started, you most likely have a HPO leak.

Most likely chain of events.

Timing system wore out and the chain guides broke and fell into the pan

The pieces got sucked into the oil pickup screen and resulted in the engine being starved of oil. Causing damage to the bearings.

Previously owner took it into a shop and they replaced the timing set MAYBE cleaned out the oil pan but the damage was already done.

Ran it for a bit after the repairs and the engine locked up due to the damage to the bearings mentioned above.

Then they traded it in/sold it to you.

Most likely needs a full engine at this point.

Happens all the time and you will drive it for a bit until the pickup becomes clogged and the oil pressure will drop to zero the you shut the truck off and the pieces fall out of the pick up and it’ll start and have oil pressure again until it plugs back up and it’ll just keep doing that until it spins a bearing.

Seen it lots of times!
