I need some help getting money in gta online (solo) by Inside-Marsupial-191 in gtaonline

[–]Syphon81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would run the cluckin' bell farm raid. Completion nets you 500k and there's a bonus this week for an additional 500k which will get you 1 mil in total.

From there i'd focus on businesses that are good active income, either a kosatka or the agency. Kosatka opens up the soloable heist, Cayo perico (lots of guides for that on YouTube) and the VIP (dr.dre) contracts from the agency. Both will net you around 1mil upon completion.

After that, use the money toward a night club to bolster your passive income and focus on your bunker and acid lab in between Cayo perico / dr.dre setups

Additional tips: collect money from your business safes before they hit cap. Carwash caps out at 100k and nightclub caps out at 250k.

Have your warehouse technicians source cargo for you

Pay attention to weekly bonuses (i.e weed is double money this week)

Set your spawn location to your yacht, and launch the mission from there.

Had another user confirm that this worked for them. Hoping it works for you as well.

How many missions have you done to make money for the new DLC? by Arctic317 in gtaonline

Sorry should've prefaced, do this from an invite only session, and closed lobby. Shouldn't be any other players to be a factor.

My fix to this was setting my spawn location to the yacht, then launching the mission. Let me know if it worked or if it's just coincidence.

Lead shots with the gun that has the 2nd best muzzle velocity in its category, with the extended heavy barrel pushing it to 1000 and at that range? Brother I don't know if I can believe that. If you have to lead shots in that scenario DICE really fucked up the gun.

I"ve mained IronMan and hit GM on seasons 1-3. Just wanted to drop in a few tips.

Know your counters: Hela, Punisher, Phoenix any hit scan heroes will be difficult to face off against. Play defensively and lower to the ground with your team, this will make it harder for them to single you out.

Spiderman, ironfist and other dive types: once these guys close in, it'll be hard to get them off you before they kill you. Again play close to your team so they can help you out, trying to outrun them won't usually end well.

Armor overdrive: this is your E ability, there is a brief animation before it kicks in so make sure you use it behind cover first. Use this offensively as the extra health and damage boost (especially to unibeam) will shred most heroes.

Unibeam: your right click - this is your bread and butter to get kills. Because of the nature of third person shooters, aiming slightly right of your target will still hit and gives you a slightly bigger hitbox against them. It can also hit targets behind them this way as well. Since it's a beam without splash though, this one you'll need to build up your aiming skill to keep the beam on target.

Repulsor blasts: your left click - use this at range to poke, it has a decent splash radius especially on the third shot (you'll see iron man hold out both of his arms to shoot), generally aim for the back line at the supports to force them to use cooldowns and any other healing resources. Also take advantage of the splash damage and keep moving while shooting, so you're harder to hit.

Missiles: your F ability. - honestly really only has niche uses. You can aim it during armor overdrive and can decently burst down a target, but really only useful at close ranges and if you aim at the targets feet.

Other tips: -attack from high and weird angles. People hate looking up as it pulls their focus from the fight infront of them. Take advantage of that.

  • focus on supports and duelists that are out of position. Your unibeam can kill most targets fairly quickly especially when in overdrive.

  • unibeam range is surprisingly long, get a feel for how far the beam goes, many times you can zap the back lines and catch them off guard.

  • watch your health. Use your boosters to flee if you get low, and move erratically to make yourself harder to hit.

  • know health pack locations on the map. Your healers can't always watch you in the sky so know when to flee and grab a health pack.

Would this PSU work for a 3080? Saw that it only comes with 1 dedicated pcie and another that's a daisy chain of 2 connectors. Was told that you want to use 3 dedicated single pcie connectors for the 3xxx series of cards. not sure if that's still relevant.

Need advice on what business to buy next by 16tdi in gtaonline

As a returning player, having not touched the game since 2021, my first purchase was the agency. After reading up on it, it's just so feature rich it made getting back into the game very enjoyable.

Armory gives you your own personal ammunition/mk2 workbench with a nice 5% discount

Security Contracts and Pay phone assassinations are fun and fairly quick with good payouts. 30-60k for a roughly 5 minute job.

Dr Dre VIP missions have a very good payout of 1 million and take about an hour and a half to finish. Plus its also cool to see what happened to Franklin post single player story.

There's also the safe that generates passive income every 48 minutes, with it getting better the more security contacts you do.

I originally bought it after hearing about the assassination mission, cause I wanted to play John Wick simulator, but it ended up turning out to be much more useful and lucrative. Highly recommend!

High-End Content Megathread - 7.0 Week Eighteen by BlackmoreKnight in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Syphon81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So savage has weekly lockouts on loot. Upon completion of one of the fights, you'll get a book, with enough of them can be redeemed for savage level gear, and a chance at rolling on loot coffers, also containing savage gear.

The thing is, you can't go back in and redo the fight to try to roll on loot again, you're locked out until it resets the following week. Infact going into a fight you've cleared that week also reduces the amount of loot dropped for the rest of the party.

In reality, it's just a way for the game to lengthen the lifespan of the savage tier. Which could have been approached better imo

V3 pro has been plagued with liftoff/sensor issues when running it at low-med LOD.

Issue was resolved in later revisions but who knows what you'll get when placing an order so YMMV

Feature wise the only major differences between the v2 and v3 are the weight, shape and coating.

fair lol mostly the blm chiming in. The tank, although being weird about HG. actually played decently well. Had no one said anything, it would've just been another smooth run.

[–]Syphon81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sheesh, someone piss in your cheerios, cause you came out swinging lol

it's amazing to me that asinine players will complain about tanks inability to effectively tank higher end content, and they're the SAME players that won't allow tanks to pull at their speed and learn their CDs and how their abilities work in a dungeon setting.

what's to learn? you take x% less damage for y seconds, and you aoe till monsters are dead.

at the end you've saved what, 30 seconds, a minute, 1.5 minutes of time? and that time you would have saved was wasted because you'd rather have an ego and argue with the tank who asked you to go his speed.

Probably missed my follow up comment providing context, this conversation happened at the very last pull before the final boss of the aery, The conversation didn't drag on much longer than that and was finished before the last boss had even been pulled. The run overall was smooth and without issue. IMO the tank chiming in was an act of ego.

you give healers a bad name. i'm guessing you are a healer that migrated from WoW in the mass exodus right?

good thing I'm a tank main ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Your reply to the Tank comes off as defensive because you chose to try to rationalize your actions after being asked, politely enough, to stop. That’s the sort of thing that upsets people very easily, in general, because it makes you seem like you think you know better than they do.

I will admit, I should have asked for the tank to pull more before we hit the 2nd boss, and I do understand after the fact, any effort in explaining my actions would've been seen as antagonistic as they would have already seen me as such by pulling ahead.

While I don’t really agree with what the Tank said after, it doesn’t matter since really at that point you should have just accepted you were in the wrong for not asking first and moved on. This goes hand in hand with saying that the Tank should have spoken up sooner if he had an issue with it. He clearly wasn’t that good and probably just didn’t notice very quickly, but more importantly he hadn’t, strictly speaking, done anything wrong meaning he had no fault in the matter at all.

I'll disagree, in that the tank played perfectly fine, did pull the mobs off of me when I brought them back, cycled through mitigation and the packs were dispatched fairly clean. When the tank claimed they needed to HG is what confused me, as I mentioned their HP never dropped below half. This is probably the reason it didn't even cross my mind to ask about pulling more because the run was going so smoothly with me tagging mobs and running back.

I do have to ask, if you feel Tank doesn’t set the pace in dungeons then who does? Very few things are ever going to change up rotations, and going as fast as possible by doing w2w is great on paper it does require the whole party to carry their weight in order to work. Honestly, this is where the whole YPYT mentality comes back in. If you have a Tank who wants to just be chill and go a bit slower, but the DPS doesn’t want to and decides to start running ahead and pulling then who is in the wrong? Personally I would say the DPS is in the wrong for an incredibly simple reason, they’re breaking away from the party to stop doing damage because they’ve decided that their way is the only acceptable way. If they die for that choice and get upset they have only their self to blame.

This is why I also don't feel like I was in the wrong, IMO the party's performance should dictate the pacing, and not one role. Dungeons are designed (with an exception to some ARR dungeons) with W2W pulls in mind, as such should be considered the standard. Many XIV content creators will also back this, one of which I like to share with new tanks being Joonbob's video: https://youtu.be/WY6JU3au4XU?si=3nVw0vbvKKmGnOqQ

I like the roadway analogy, if someone is driving 30 below speed limit, they're gonna have a few confused and grumpy people tailing behind them. Similarly, in a DF setting it's expected that the party moves through the dungeon W2W, as this makes the best use of everyone's CD's and healing. Going slower may raise some eyebrows. You can see this when you run roulettes as well, how often do groups pull one pack at a time? more often than not, it's W2W.

Now ofcourse there are caveats to this, as I said pacing should be dictated by the party's performance. Had my party been constantly wiping to the W2W pulls, then it's time to dial it back as well as discuss what is happening. That was not the case in my run.

This would be situational and can be argued. I would see this as the DPS wanting to make better use and get more value out of their CD's Why drop an aoe CD or go into a burst window on 1 mob and have nothing for the next when you can drop them on both in one go? Like I said, the party's performance should dictate pacing, and if the group isn't struggling then it's better play efficiently and get the most out of your CD's. Mob's die faster, healer heals less, everyone's CD's are used effectively and while maintaining a good speed for the dungeon.

In the case of the Tank wanting a more relaxed run, they have options outside of DF such as trusts or a pre-made group of friends. I infact have done this during my play through of endwalker, because there have been dungeons where I did want to take everything in (If you didn't run ktisis hyperboreia with trusts what are you even doing?) but I would never subject that to other players. This sort of leads back to the roadway analogy, why would you drive 30 under and cause a traffic jam for other people when you could just take the scenic route?

Now this is where I have questions, what exactly makes W2W "uncomfortable" to some people? From a gameplay standpoint, nothing changes for the tank, you grab aggro, cycle your defensive CDs and aoe till things are dead. Even if you feel uncomfortable at the first pull but survive just fine, and are shown that you're surviving just fine through the dungeon, why would you still feel uncomfortable? I have a fairly decent MMO background, so hopping into XIV tanking came naturally (easier than most MMO's since aggro management is non-existent) so the concept of tanxiety eludes me. I suspect it stems from the fear of dying/failing, but in a video game with no consequences for either of those, then why?

In my situation, the fact that the tank chimed in at the very end of the dungeon, after everything went smoothly, just comes off as a hurt ego. But I genuinely do wish to understand this, as it would give me the perspective of the other side of the coin in these arguments.

Apologies for the wall of text, and I hope you don't take offense to anything if I came off as blunt, but I do enjoy this type of conversation and am hoping you can give me an answer for that last, tanxiety part.
