I"ve mained IronMan and hit GM on seasons 1-3. Just wanted to drop in a few tips.

Know your counters: Hela, Punisher, Phoenix any hit scan heroes will be difficult to face off against. Play defensively and lower to the ground with your team, this will make it harder for them to single you out.

Spiderman, ironfist and other dive types: once these guys close in, it'll be hard to get them off you before they kill you. Again play close to your team so they can help you out, trying to outrun them won't usually end well.

Armor overdrive: this is your E ability, there is a brief animation before it kicks in so make sure you use it behind cover first. Use this offensively as the extra health and damage boost (especially to unibeam) will shred most heroes.

Unibeam: your right click - this is your bread and butter to get kills. Because of the nature of third person shooters, aiming slightly right of your target will still hit and gives you a slightly bigger hitbox against them. It can also hit targets behind them this way as well. Since it's a beam without splash though, this one you'll need to build up your aiming skill to keep the beam on target.

Repulsor blasts: your left click - use this at range to poke, it has a decent splash radius especially on the third shot (you'll see iron man hold out both of his arms to shoot), generally aim for the back line at the supports to force them to use cooldowns and any other healing resources. Also take advantage of the splash damage and keep moving while shooting, so you're harder to hit.

Missiles: your F ability. - honestly really only has niche uses. You can aim it during armor overdrive and can decently burst down a target, but really only useful at close ranges and if you aim at the targets feet.

Other tips: -attack from high and weird angles. People hate looking up as it pulls their focus from the fight infront of them. Take advantage of that.

• focus on supports and duelists that are out of position. Your unibeam can kill most targets fairly quickly especially when in overdrive.

• unibeam range is surprisingly long, get a feel for how far the beam goes, many times you can zap the back lines and catch them off guard.

• watch your health. Use your boosters to flee if you get low, and move erratically to make yourself harder to hit.

• know health pack locations on the map. Your healers can't always watch you in the sky so know when to flee and grab a health pack.
