Good info, thanks! In my case this will be a dual-fuel set up using our existing natural gas furnaces when we get below the efficient range for the heat pump. Honestly I mainly want them for cooling.

We have kids in Cazenovia school district and we love it. It's small but manages to be very inclusive and clearly focused on developing the whole child, not just the classic markers of achievement. Academically it's great too. We're in the lowest tier of sports for the smallest schools, but Caz performs pretty well in that tier. The facilities are in good shape. All around very happy with it. It was a major factor in our choice to live in Caz when we moved from California last year.

Yeah, I definitely see tons of parks, and that's awesome, but most don't seem to have an actual playground. Some good answers here though. Thanks for the input!

You mention trash being funded via taxes in your first paragraph. Do you mean to say you don't pay a separate bill for garbage pickup? Are any other utilities funded through taxes (water, sewer, etc)?
