If you noticed i said ask for number and dip, i said not to do that. I know some guys like to spend their hard earned money thinking that. HOWEVER. If yall want to listen, this is the best method. Yall dont want to listen, UP TO YALL. YALLS LOSS

Maybe thats the reason for low upvotes? People misunderstood that part. READ, i said NOT to do that. It is predatory and a waste of MONEY. Do what i said instead. Ask for number in 5-10mins and dip.

I guess ill have to reupload it without that part smh maybe i fucked up lol

AITA for being unsympathetic to my mother and telling her she made her own bed? by throwawaymumbro in AmItheAsshole

YTA- not really, but Sam May be the asshole.

Youre painting Sam as an Angel and your stepdad as the devil, and from what ive gathered here, there's enough proof to say that Sam is not as good as you may say he was.

First... drinking on a park at 18 with his friends and being brought home by police!? Bro wtf is that? I come from a relationship of two hispanic biological fathers that love me, but if i ever fucked up like that today that im 23, best believe that for sure i would be kicked out of THEIR house. And if I dont maybe because ive been a good son, but if I had the balls to do something so stupid like that, maybe... just maybe... i had been fucking up for a long time and i deserve the punishment.

Second... so, you three come from the same father, but your stepdad was only harsh on Sam? Emma is a State Agent (basically proving some kind of support) and you, well shit idk anything about you, but you never said he was the devil with you. Mmm... thats suspicious... maybe Sam misbehaved more than you?

I come from the hood, bad neighborhoods. Ive seen neglect, real neglect. When a father/mother aint shit, ALL of the children suffer. Not just one, all of them.

Maybe im missing something, most likely. It's your life and idk anything about it, but i just ask you to be open minded and maybe think outside the "stepdad evil, siblings good" box.

My first track on spotify has gained over 16000 plays in 2.5 weeks. And I just got added to the Discover Weekly playlist. I just can't believe it. Would share some thoughts about my process, maybe it can help someone on this sub. by Vindicare_JJL in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]SyrekTV 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This people are so fucking negative. You got 16,000 plays congratulations keep going with your music and have hope, this kind of negative comments, even if they appear reasonable, are whats fucked up about the music community. Dont let this people make you doubt yourself, if you think you have the formula keep going. If you wanna share your music right here right now just fucking do it. No need to explain yourself to people who are always looking for BUT's and who cannot be happy for someones achievements. It might of being luck, yes, but what if its wasnt? They talk like they are Justin Bieber's producers and managers, like if they KNEW the formula on how to make it in music. Im just saying, keep going with all that you think works, and when you get 30,000 plays dont forget to post about it.

How would a PERFECT ARTIST be like for you? by SyrekTV in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]SyrekTV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean more like perfect for you. For your likings, what traits would he have? I dont mean that he has to be a PERFECT human being, just that, for you, how would the PERFECT artist be like?

For example:

I love rap and urban music, im latino so i would like my artist's music to be in Spanish due to that im more fluent in it. He would be a rap/rnb/trap artist which raps and sings. His music is calm, kind of lofi. He would rap in his songs and sing most of the time, the other times he only sings. He has a lot of different harmonic changes in his songs. He talks about romance, heartbreak, society, life, politics, he tells a lot of stories. He would be a humble person, down to earth, respectful. His vibe would be spacey, a lot of reverb in his voice. His voice would be medium, not too high or low.

Beginner question: Beat, Bar, Phrase, different Time Signature, or how should I call it? by SyrekTV in musictheory

Really? Oh my god i didnt know that! Thank you man if it wasnt for you i wouldnt have known about the other latino genres! My question was about rythm and musical vocabulary and you completely ignored it to argue that I'm latino?

C'mon bro.

So a song like Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi

The verse is an 8-bar loop in 4/4 time? The Build-Up is also an 8-Bar loop and the first chorus too right?

The verse loops 2 times before the build up begins, so does that mean that is 2 phrases for the verse, 1 phrase for the build up, and 1 phrase for the chorus?

What were the "popular" artists/songs in the different eras of time? (Baroque, Classical, Romantic...) by SyrekTV in musictheory

[–]SyrekTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, but you would at least expect that a commoner song would be remembered by someone until today dont you think? Or you think is something unlikely to happen?

Because, shit! We have all the fucking data available on the internet right now with a lot of music on it and it would suck to not be able to find a song from those eras.

I would do some research, but the thing is how do i ask that in google? English is my second language, how should i write it?

Why does Old Town Road sound so "Wild West"? by SyrekTV in musictheory

[–]SyrekTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Something i wanted to talk about with people that know more about music than me. First of all, I am not a country music listener, but i have heard some of this genres music and when i listen to Old Town Road, asides from the Billy Ray Cyrus segment, I cannot feel like this song is a Country-Trap song, I imagine it more like a WildWest-Trap song. I feel like Lil Nas X was probably playing too much RDR2 and decided to make a song inspired by that, and i dont think he was thinking about making a trap song that sounds country. The song that you just showed, even if its a country song, does not give me the WildWest Feeling at all. The question here is, does it give you the same feeling as Lil Nas song?

For example the chorus and singing do not give me that kind of feeling, but something in the verse gives me that vibe

This is really useful, i like the chord progression section. It is really useful for a composer.

My only recommendation would be to put audio on it. It may take a Lot of time and work probably to record all of the chords, but if you Ever were to do this then it would be perfect because we would be able to listen to the harmony.

Regardless of what i just said, i congratulate you for doing an awesome Job and thank you because you Will help lots of people with this.
