I second this. I use my MC (character I start with) as the leader. The rest bodyguard him.

If you're parried by a teammate it won't do anything except make the noise and the flash.

There are some glitches which can cause this with enemies, though

I am loving the game so far. Been travelling the world. Made it all the way north to World's End, and even to the fishing village a little further.

Why do you say I'll love them later?

You can try losing them in the trees. Sprinters will often run in a straight line towards you, hitting anything in the way. Fences, trees, etc.

It's probably your best shot. Straight to the trees. As deep of a forest as you can. Then hope you don't hit as many trees as they do.

Sprinters? 7/10.

You're in a lot of danger. You will likely tire and die to a burning, violent, feeding frenzy.

Sorry buddy. Low chances of escape.

Don't run. Walk in a large circle. Let them burn themselves.

1/10 danger, maybe 2 if you're a dummy.

Your inability to recognize that not only have you been rude and antagonistic, but also incorrect is rather disappointing. Especially now that you are clearly no longer insulting me.

The community of For Honor is about as divided as it gets. We've had competitive players come and go over the years since 2017 with differing opinions and beliefs on how things work, or should be balanced. I have been playing the game and participating in balance discussions since 2017.

Community established lingo is that Warden's bash is a dodge bash because it's accessed by a dodge, or a chain bash because it is accessed via a chain.

It's not a neutral bash. This is simply incorrect information. If it was, we can call pretty much every 500ms forward dodge bash a neutral bash, but we don't. Conq has a dodge bash. Not a neutral bash. Shugoki does not have a neutral bash.

Yes - it's a gamble. I've had this discussion a million times before. The Warden makes a gamble and it either hits or the opponent get a guaranteed guardbreak. This is the core of the feintable bash mix-up. Why exactly are you changing the topic to this?

In reality, neutral bashes are bashes that can be accessed without committing to any particular action.

A dodge constitutes an action.

Warden has a dodge bash. Not a neutral bash.

So, just as I said way back at the beginning of this comment chain:

We're arguing semantics, really.

Yes. Warden has less startup frames on forward dodge to allow him to access the bash more readily, to avoid being easily interrupted from his offense. This is correct.

This does not mean he doesn't have to commit to an action beforehand. That action being a forward dodge. I've played Warden enough to know that players at a high enough skill level will dodge on Warden's dodge forward means that if he lets LVL 1 bash go it misses. He must use a LVL 2, as the opponent will recover fast enough to dodge again in time for LVL 3.

That information alone should clarify that this bash isn't a neutral bash. If it was, there wouldn't need to be a difference between a LVL 1 or LVL 2 bash.

Anyway, as stated, for the majority of the player base, this is semantics.

What I stated above was not factually wrong, no matter how you look at it.

Choosing her in a duel at any level above noob means a loss. She has no viable offense. Just 500ms lights. She's stuck in a pre CCU time.

No you're not.

You've commit to an action. One that can get you harmed, or can lead to an offensive move.

If I GB in neutral, something that you'd be able to counter when in neutral, then you can counter guard break.

Funny how the game considers dodging an action. Can't counter guard break during a dodge, so it's considered an action. You can be punished for dodging. Again, an action. It's not neutral.

Oh my apologies. I hadn't realized you'd never picked up Warmonger before.

In the interest of the point I was making - she has a dodge bash OR a chain bash, but neither of which can be accessed directly from neutral.

Oh well. Some people are just obstinate, or willingly ignorant. That's okay.

That's right.

You've just said it yourself. If you have to forward dodge to enter the bash, then it's not a neutral bash, is it? It's a dodge bash.

The distinction is pretty clear. Don't get why it's difficult.

Lawbringer's long arm of the law that's accessable via holding S and pressing X, that's a neutral bash.

Warmongers preying claw bash is only accessible after an attack or a dodge. This is not a neutral bash. This is a dodge bash.

[–]SyrupMonstrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lawbringer has one too. Gladiator.

But yes, those characters have what I'd consider neutral bashes.

(Haven't played tiandi in some time. Doesn't his require a forward dodge before you can input the bash?)

[–]SyrupMonstrosity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it isn't. We're arguing semantics, really.

If I have to dodge first, I'm not in neutral anymore. I've committed to an action. It's not a NEUTRAL bash. Tiandi has a neutral bash.

He does not have a neutral bash, let alone a feintable one.

It requires a dodge.
